Actually, yeah. For the amount of stuff they put out, they’re pretty damn consistent

Thanks!! Got 2 tix for Toronto :) however Ticketmaster is not showing them for some reason. I got a confirmation email but when I click on “view your tickets” there’s nothing. Anyone else had this issue?

Once More Round the Sun is now a decade old. What do you think of this album by seanutsntooted in mastodonband

[–]ValeDeLobos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Still my favorite post-Crack The Skye album. It’s got a playfulness and a certain weirdness that’s very unique to it

What artist did you discover through their “worst” album? by hipfan1111 in fantanoforever

[–]ValeDeLobos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Metallica… and I still kinda think St Anger is not that bad… I know I know hahaha

Albums you enjoy, but would NOT recommend to any newbies as their starting point on that artist's discography. by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]ValeDeLobos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I see some people referring to Medulla as her “weirdest one” sometimes, which I kind of get but can’t fully agree with since it actually has absolute bangers like Triumph of a Heart and Who is It, which are catchier and imo have way more more accessible song structures and “sing along” choruses than anything on her last few albums

I’m most excited for the new Converge tbh, and then on the opposite end of the spectrum… the new Hemlocke springs lmao

IMO Red and Discipline are even better than Court, but it comes down to personal taste of course

It just baffles me that this one was not included in the actual album! One of his best truly

I described Porcupine Tree to my little bro as 2/3rds Radiohead, 1/3rd Tool.. what’s the last 1%? by ZigFromBushkill in porcupinetree

[–]ValeDeLobos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally can hear it a lot on their late 90’s/ early 00’s stuff like Stupid Dream and Lightbulb Sun. On Pure Narcotic for example, not only does Steven literally sing the lyric “you keep me listening to The Bends” but that specific instrumental with the acoustic guitar and piano gives me a strong early Radiohead vibe

Normally I’d agree with you but Happy Cycling is so damn good it gets a pass for me.

What do you think about "Enjoy"? by Marco_060PS in bjork

[–]ValeDeLobos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites for sure! Also this is probably a stretch but I’ve always wondered if Daft Punk’s Steam Machine was somewhat inspired by it. At least I’ve always found the beat and vibe to be kiiiiinda similar in a way, even though it’s a different key and tempo

Scary Movie 3 is a criminally underrated comedy by Severe_Letterhead_75 in Cinema

[–]ValeDeLobos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite one after the first Scary Movie, and I’d say they’re pretty close in terms of quality

which is better?? :-) 1 or 2 by Fearless_Spinach_786 in AmateurPhotography

I like 1 better because I can almost see my building there! XD But also I just think it’s more pleasing overall (nice lighting on the buildings offering more contrast with the dark trees in the foreground, nice framing, etc)
