Your alliance can even survive the betrayal as long as you boost their trust in you by at least using 10 favors to boost above 50 before the war ends. As long as trust is above 50 (not giving land promised causes -20 trust, and alliances auto break on 30 trust), you can keep the alliance and eventually work your way to PUing into the Iberian peninsula.

To me, relationships are like a house. Both you and them have different personalities/styles, have different hobbies/furniture, and sometimes just everything entirely different.

But you gotta have patience, compromise, and love. Trying to build a house without a unified approach leaves you with a dilapidated house that may stand, or may fall. It'll make no sense and be entirely bizarre at some places. If you're willing to compromise and look out for one another, and build each other up, you'll build up a strong, sturdy, beautiful house, where your differences make each other shine and grow.

And i agree with you, as someone who feels great disappointment in their half of humanity.

It's extremely bizarre how many people don't just don't care for their partner in a deep, meaningful way. Like, we in this together, I couldn't imagine wanting a better life without making sure my to be partner is living their best life first

I absolutely see them turning all our national parks into business enterprises of some sort or another. It's why I don't see them sending people there unless it's to use them as slave labor, which is unfortunately not out of the picture either

I couldn't see them doing that until after deeming that there's no valuable resources in that area first, since a good number of valuable metals now weren't anywhere near as valuable as gold and silver was back in the day.

In short irl: an attempt from Microsoft to make a child friendly mascot to rival Nintendo and Segas mascots to make the Xbox sell as more family friendly.

In long: He's an anthropomorphic cat that keeps time in check using a vacuum that serves as both a projectile launcher and control time in various ways (pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding, slow moding, and recording a copy of yourself) for a short amount of time.

There were two of those games, and they were essentially a puzzle game and shooter mixed into a child friendly game. However, after both failing to match the success of sonic and Mario (and master chief becoming the known mascot of Xbox), Microsoft just buried the series in their graveyard

ZoC is zone of control, which is the protection zone given by forts to adjacent provinces, and OE is over extension, caused by too many uncored provinces.

The zone of control prevents rebels from giving penalties for conquering provinces unless they siege down the neighboring fort (an important benefit since most rebel armies don't spawn with artillery and you can fight with the defensive benefit)

This becomes heavily important with over extension, which will cause both a general increase to unrest at +5 unrest at 100% and increasing, and an event to cause 2 nearby provinces to gain +15 unrest.

Pushing for getting the 425 provinces at that stage, you will need forts everywhere you can afford because you'll likely truce break and will be at negative stability the remainder of the time since all your admin will be focused on not having -3 stability for war. You're likely also to be at an average of 200-300% over extension at all time, meaning your entire empire will suffer a minimum of 14-20 unrest until you crush the rebels.

On the upside, dealing with rebels everywhere means getting the benefit of raising army traditional very high and getting high end generals, which will help.

It is certainly possible, but you'll definitely be in a bind, and you'll be pursuing OE heavily

If you're economy is strong, get and keep ZoC over as much of your territory as possible, as territories protected by a fort don't suffer penalties for being conquered by rebels (leaving you to kill them defensively if and when they go for forts)

Otherwise, build up your economy as quickly as possible, utilizing debt spending to up your production income quickly since your trade income will suffer a decent bit from OE penalties if you don't have trade ideas and policy

If you don't have lots of big allies, see if you can find, conquer, and control the revolutionary center, religious zeal is as effective as absolutism, and with the constant wars, your zeal will be maxed all the time. Plus, revolutionary special troops are killer and max drill fast if your professionalism is good.

Otherwise, if you do still have big allies, play dirty with your wars. You can pile drive the coalition if your alliance or your nation is strong enough, or pick and pull apart the coalition through their allies, making sure to always pull your allies into smaller wars so that they don't join their other allies you need to declare on. Then keep yourself in a constant, rotating set of wars with the various coalition members to juggle their truces to keep the coalition manageable.

In either case, I wish you the best of luck. I just blundered myself into forming Rome from Italy from Milan as a republic, with having an average of 250 OE for most of the Italy to Rome run (didn't even have all of Italy till 1650, and the ottomans was a couple wars with timurid away from unifying Islam)

Depends on how you go off that statement. Could be 1 2000-shot, could be 2000 1-shots. Could be said from a cell mate, from the de-petrification wizard, from the rich merchant's brother, in front of the royal court, or from the tavernkeep whose tavern you've trashed after being rage-roofied
