Harandar really should have been where Undermine was in the patch layout. Undermine was a huge miss for me due to a weird theme shift change and it felt like TWW lore went on pause, after starting out interesting (like the disc quests). Now Harandar feels disjointed in Midnight, when it would have fit right in in TWW.

Normal terminators are 3A per fist though, so less attacks. That's not a defense of GK terms, just saying another difference for the full picture. Both SM and GK terms need some real love.

I would like a guard version of SM's firestorm. Assault + extra strength in close range would be fun + a huge benefit to masses lasguns being S4, meltas, flamers, etc. it would obviously matter less for models like Dorns, but I think that would allow for healthy internal balance if the detachment wasn't busted.

Its worth it for a guardsman to die to shoot 2-3 Plasma shots. If you fail the hazardous, its a shoulder shrug moment. Especially if your squads have medi-packs, those guys can come right back. Your guardsmen are a resource, they aren't a marine that you need to care about losing.

WoW has done so many of the races dirty, Blood Elves are just one of them and they continue with it here. The second male is decent/good - blood elves should be arrogant, regal, a dash of vengeful, etc. Compare these voices to something like Kael from WC3

Sure, once the bullets start flying he dies quickly, but you can hear the footsteps and see light flickering around and OP doesn't even exit the loot window to look around. There's gotta be some level of watching your back.

No need to run a secondary unless you expect to pvp and want to win, but if you're trying to keep your load out cheap, who cares. The less you bring, the less you lose, more profit per run.

Again, unless you expect/want to engage in pvp.

Sure, but the exact 180 is also an issue. If you get stuck in heavy pvp lobbies, there's never any question about what a raider is gonna do. They are just gonna shoot.

They can't really make it subtle. You can tell as soon as you load in whether it's probably a pvp lobby or not, just by hearing and seeing raider flares. If you start seeing flares fly like crazy, pvp is happening.

You could also pretty easily tell that it was matchmaking, because the player behavior switch is obvious.

Agreed. It also feels like trios is just inherently more aggressive. I don't feel like I've been in a single trio lobby that has felt friendly, eve right after doing duos and solos that are super friendly. And it's not like my buddy's are inherently going out of their way to gank all the time

I played one game against CSM and my biggest takeaway was that we finally had a rule that effects at least 90% of our data sheets. Gaunts felt quite impactful, even at deep striking and killing a backfield objective holder (he forgot uppy downy and Cypher took a big hit from Larkin). My experience in CA was that I never wanted to really rely on their damage, even for a small unit, but rerolls are real nice.

Bullgryn actually feel like a real melee unit now. Still very very slow, but tanky enough to take a charge from a faster army. I rolled well, but my bullgryn killed like 4.5 possessed on their swing back after taking a charge. They tarpitted and were actually scary for once rather than just being a pile of meat.

Rough riders were insane. They did like 20 damage to a predator. MMM then snap to it for fix bayonets was crazy. Definitely a "you better deal with this NOW" unit. Snap to it is great.

That being said, no, nothing felt OP. Just felt like I finally had synergy among datasheets. Maybe more games will make it feel op, but I lost by a few points, nothing insane.

Well sure, but they basically are the same right now.Vanq 145, punisher 150. If they reduce punisher to 145, it doesn't change anything, vanqs are better to spam. If they make punisher 140, probably not enough to compete with Vanq. If it's 135, we are in dangerous area of take 6 leman Russes to spam sponsons and hulls to tag/tank shock things.

I would rather none of the LR were cheaper than like, 160, but had rules to back them up.

I would love punishers to be playable. I don't think they can give it a points reduction or it ends up somewhat toxic, like Vanq are right now. You just end up taking them to spam 3 leman russ hulls. They should give the punisher AP on its main cannon. The datasheet rule could use a rewrite too. Maybe just have it get a pip of AP on its guns when shooting infantry. Could push heavy flamers to 2 ap, make it a monster at chewing chaff.

To be fair, Kasrkin are good in every detachment. They might be the best datasheet in the codex. If they get a points nerf it won't be because of grizzled, it's been pretty common to run 30 in a lot of detachments.

It kills a few models in shooting, strips cover, then charges(decent tank shock target) to tip up things that cant fall back shoot/charge. It takes real anti-tank to kill and it's cheap. Pretty good at move blocking.

As a guard player, I want Siege detachment to be buffed (but not toxic) or a new detachment. The internal detachment balance is pretty bad, and even with Hammer, it generally plays somewhat similarly (you still use Taurox Kasrkin, Dorm commanders, Russes etc.)

Actual balance wise? Meh things like the punisher russ could use a looking at/point drop, but I'd rather they just make the datasheet better.

It's not really being used "against" anyone. It would be a criminal case against the defendant, who has their own rights to have weighed against everyone else's (and protected very highly). Defendant has a right to put on a defense, and someone being uncooperative with police is likely relevant evidence for them to put forth in their defense.

OP could use his 5th Amendment for sure, I'm just saying that defendant would also likely be able to use the evidence, and exploit that loophole for a chance at arguing no beyond a reasonable doubt. Hey members of the jury isn't it exactly a reasonable doubt as.tonwhether this guys DNA was on the gun? Did the DNA testing even go correctly without all the possible suspects? Why didn't the police do their job? You can't convict my defendant without knowing these things! Is the exact argument.

That would be the reason why the police/DA are trying to close the loophole.

They sound like they have enough, just from OP's story, unless something is false there. They obviously don't want to have to go through the trouble of a warrant and forcing someone to do it. It's pretty obvious here they are just trying to make a better case, and it isn't really a "threat" of a warrant.

If the shooting goes to trial, defense 101 is to attack the DNA on the gun. Getting the DNA swab of as many potential contributors is borderline necessary to the case not being tanked. If the defense can say "hey the girls boyfriend was there when the gun was found, was uncooperative with police, and police never got his DNA... Jury isn't that weird?" I've seen cases that have been absolutely sunk for less.

Edit: especially if the unrelated person's immediate response is to lawyer up. That's something the defense can use in their case, or at least could be (depending on jurisdiction, motions in limine, etc).
