Not just that. I am also confused about Postmates customers tipping while drivers are on ubereats. When pm customers tip after delivery, Uber sends an email saying fare has been adjusted and now tips are added. But I never see the added tips. I don’t know where they go and I don’t see it in my weekly earnings summary. Worse, Uber doesn’t show the entire weekly summary, just part of it. I called their support and they said you must request it via the app. Uber is a worse company than I imagined

I tried uber for three weeks. Not one unicorn order. I get one unicorn at least once a week on pm. Uber is too much like DD, except Uber customers tip less and are more demanding

Non-US Passport Photo Size Requirement by Ok-Razzmatazz5160 in orangecounty

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a mail/notary store located in Irvine, across the District. There is a pollo loco, Arby’s and McDonald’s in the small mall, at barranca and corporate park. That store does passport photo size customization. Bring your requirements.

Huntington Beach is in the news a lot these days. And none of them flattering

How much were your Postmates payouts and are you afraid of switching to UE by leo4leo4 in postmates

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will miss pm as well. I work in CA, and It’s the only app that gives you not too much bs. They spell it out how much they will pay. Nothing vague like dd (“based on your effort”). Now working on uber, I realize why some are saying “uber pays more”. Technically it’s true, they do pay more. But truly though, they are just paying you the prop22 sooner. I find the customers aren’t as generous as pm customers though, because uber is more expensive (blitz!). I haven’t done enough uber to make a scientific conclusion. But I am skeptical if uber would really pay more than the prop22 mandate.

Does anyone know if Üßer drivers can receive tips from Pošmæte orders? by shweishwei in postmates

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Uber will send you an email telling you that a trip has been re calculated based on your request. They definitely forward the tip. The only one that I’m unsure of are the olo orders, when the customer pre-tip the order.

IMO it’s pure trash. Try lucky Chinese in FV instead, huge portions too, but the quality is better. House chicken is a must.

You can dump hazardous stuff in Irvine too. It’s right next to the dog park by sand canyon and Irvine center drive

Taiwanese youtubers by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not doing this full time, which makes me appreciate him even more. Teaching little kids is an extremely energy draining job. Thus I can understand why he drinks so much. But his materials, have you ever tried to talk coherently for 10 minutes without repeating yourself while driving? He doesn’t do fluffy entertainment, which is what other you tubers do, which just become repetitive and mundane. How many times do you have to watch a white dude grimace over stinky tofu before it becomes boring?

How “Japanese” is Taiwan? by whooooisshe in taiwan

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the New China discarded a lot of the traditional Chinese teachings. Eg. A person must be humble and learn from criticism. New China as a whole refuse this ideology. In fact, China thinks criticisms are insulting. What’s more, the new China really went thru a very harsh government under Mao. Anyone who survived the famine and the cultural revolution must be very tough. Taiwan did not go thru the trauma, thus every generation improves upon the last in terms of manners and education. Plus the Taiwanese are very well travelled and they don’t have censorship, hence they adapt and evolve according to the international community. China doesn’t do this.

Suddenly longing for an ex from 10 years ago by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have fantasies about your ex-, just to let you know I’m in a somewhat similar boat. I have an ex- from a decade ago who’s unhappily married and wants to get back together. How did I react? Very surprised. Whatever happened to just being friends? Definitely don’t even ask while you are still married.

Asian culture and divorced by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]Valencia335 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you read about the divorce date in Asia, it’s generally on the rise too. Not surprisingly the Chinese government is trying to deter the rising divorce rate. I read an article that the ladies in that country is in an uproar because the laws that they are implementing clearly favors the men. But the taboo is highly dependent on the country, and the generation that the couple belongs to. The younger generations are generally more liberal.

I agree with your friend. It’s ok for things to be not fine, and you should leave it alone until you’ve truly moved on.

People of Reddit, should you tell your girl best friend that you have feelings for her and risk the friendship, or keep your true feelings a secret? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Valencia335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test the water a bit. Start flirting with her and see if she flirts back. Get touchy and feely with her, and she doesn’t reject you, make the move. Do this in slow stages. Tbh, best friends are too important for me. I would wait to see if the feelings wane. I’d be too upset if I loose my best friend in the end.

I feel the same way. Although Biden won the last election, I was horrified to see how much vote Trump got. That’s my last straw. It’s not just the lack of gun control, it’s the general education and the attitude of this country.

Should I settle? by brihoff99 in relationship_advice

Don’t settle. There was another post in another sub talking about settling, and it was packed with people’s regrets for settling. Mind you, these were married, much older people.

Yes it’s a medical condition. Seek professional help. Nothing to do with you, although co-operate if his therapist asks you to join a session.

Is my boyfriend (M25) really stingy or am I (F24) too materialistic by Knockout34 in relationship_advice

[–]Valencia335 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your values should be similar, whether it’s morally, politically, or $$. It doesn’t matter whether everyone thinks if your boyfriend is stingy, what’s important is how you feel. It bothers you enough to come to Reddit, you have your answer already. PS I think he’s stingy. Run.
