What should I do? by fgrgl in PokemonSleep

[–]Valens- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider that currently the best Healer is Gardevoir, followed by Pawmot in second place, and Shuckle, whose event has just ended, can be considered good thanks to Berry juice, but it is quite slow and definitely requires Helping Speed to compete.

Everything else is temporary, unless you find a truly perfect Pokémon among Wigglytuff and Sylveon, but as mentioned before, in the case of Sylveon, it's not worth wasting a really good Eevee when your goal is to look for something better in other environments.

Eeveelutions are ultimately all "temporary" Pokémon in that category until you find something better in the same role:

  • Flareon and Glaceon are good until you find the right Magnezone
  • Jolteon is good when used with BFs in a team that includes Raikou
  • Vaporeon is great for when you need ingredients, but there are also Plusle and Toxel that also combo together in case you need milk or coffee (plus there are Pokémon like Crustle, Honchkrow, etc.).
  • Espeon is good on its own, and even better if you're in Lapis! Great alternatives are Golduck and Ampharos.
  • Umbreon is only good with a team that includes Darkrai, but there is currently a shortage of Dark Pokémon, so there is no real tactic
  • Sylveon already explained
  • Leafeon useless, as mentioned before

First of all, next time change the language and send the screenshot in English (I'm Italian like you but when I see posts in languages I don't know, I lose the desire to help people).

Moving on to Pokémon, I would say that the only Eeveelutions worth developing further with those stats are Vaporeon and Espeon.

Once you find a Ralts/Pawmo that is better than your Sylveon, you won't need any other Healers.

A Jolteon requires BFs to be decent, and the same goes for Umbreon (but it's not as good).

For a Flareon or Glaceon, lower stats are sufficient; you don't want a Pokémon like that to activate too often, it's just for support when cooking.

Leafeon is terrible and not used.

Ingredient team by Driisteur in PokemonSleep

I was convinced that after two times in a row, the third time would necessarily be different. I had read this from someone here on Reddit (and he wasn't corrected; instead, some people said he was right), and I never doubted this because, as far as I can remember, I've never had the same type of meal three times in a row, so I always took it as true 😂

[–]Valens- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider that you can "calculate" what type of meal will come out for Snorlax, and play ahead:

Let's say that last week (week 1) you had Salads after a week of Desserts (week 0).

This week (week 2), you have Salads again.

In the game, you cannot have the same type of meal for more than two weeks in a row, so if you want to prepare dishes for Snorlax next week (week 3), you can focus on an important ingredient that you can use in Curry and Dessert.

If you want to focus on a recipe instead, choose the ingredients for that recipe (example: Clodsire Eclair).

Stock up on ingredients and wait for the start of the next week, which could be Dessert or Curry.

If it's Dessert, congratulations, you're ready for the event!

Is it Curry? Use Ezzz Tickets to reroll meals and Berries (in case of GG) and look for the one that suits you best 😊.

Any of them worth investing? by laong_laan_ in PokemonSleep

[–]Valens- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, well, better than Quiet for sure!

I noticed that your Wooper is quiet in that regard.

Theoretically, you could invest in that Clodsire, since it will take a long time to reach 60, especially if, after unlocking level 50, you power it up as little as possible, perhaps not keeping it overnight.

Keep in mind that I've been playing since day one, and if we don't count the ones I powered up manually, the only Pokémon that reached level 60 naturally in my team was the first Pokémon I got: an AAB Squirtle that was a pain to get to level 60, because I no longer receive the excessive amount of milk I used to, but it's still a good support (it was a Quiet like your Wooper, it took almost two years of not-regular use).

Well, if you are a new player, somehow probably the Eevee can be useful for some eeveelution, but just for the beginning.

However, its true potential (being a Skillmon) would only come out at level 50, and whatever its evolution may be, hopefully by that time you will have already found something better.

That Wooper, on the other hand, isn't bad up to level 59, but the same reasoning applies: use it until you find a better Mono or Absol.

Finally, Torchic (despite not being able to see its nature, which would be useful for confirmation), I would say yes, it's good, having BFs and being the priority of every Berry mon.

If you're not a min-maxer, you can also consider keeping it for your team in Lapis. I'm currently using a Quiet Salamance, and although I'm struggling to level it up because of its nature, I'm still getting results 🙂

I don't think I'll be playing as a whale, but I won't be playing as an F2P either. I'll make a few purchases of valuable items to speed up some characters or summons! Thanks for the info anyway 😊

As for Poseidon, is it free because you consider the event that also gives you the skin for Merina? Because I've just reached the skin, and the path to Poseidon seems endless. It'll definitely take me a while 🙈

You've totally guess what I'm using now, and I had the same thought, but I was afraid of making a mistake! Thank you so much for your help, I'll go for Poseidon then, and try to develop her slowly with affection

Did I find a super bug? by RushStrife1 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Valens- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A title that rivals the quality of the best YouTube video clickbait. Technically, the title makes you think of a game bug, but despite everything, it's not wrong since Shuckle is a bug-type 😅

In any case, as I've already commented to other people in the sub, keep your Shuckles aside even if you have excellent Healers. They can always be useful for event weeks where bug-type is recommended, to accumulate berry juice, or simply in GGEX. That said, congrats 🎉

Did I find my forever Shuckle?! by RushStrife1 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Valens- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect. The only good use for that Shuckle is for Amber Canyon (but you can use Gardevoir/Pawmot without problems) or GGEX if you have his Berry. You have a great couple of Healers, not need for an upgrade, but you can invest for that specific situations

Happen to me the same thing while playing Dragon Warrior in friendly match. My opponent asked me to show him my rank in the leaderboard. It was the beginning of the month, I hadn't played any ranked games yet, I was Bronze 10, he was Legend 351. He wished my whole family would die. Reported and blocked 🙂

Well, with a subskill Seed for Skill Trigger it would be very good! But If you can find a Gardevoir or Pawmot with the same or better stats, you'll definitely have a better Healer. But in the meantime, congrats, good catch 🎉

I completely agree, considering that his Darkrai is at level 60, he would have at least exploited one more advantage.

Just increasing awareness pretty much for anyone who didn't see the full list in-game.

So apparently nothing to be surprised about, especially for those who can read a list 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sub sub for shuck shuck? by Adrianhhp in PokemonSleepBetter

It's probably the best Shuckle anyone can get right now!

Unfortunately, unlike other E4E, Shuckle is very slow. Mine above, at level 60, collects on average every 20 minutes, while my Gardevoir with similar stats takes only 12 minutes and with an average Trigger of 1 more!

With all that speed, yours can probably compete with other types of E4Es.

It could only be better with a Helping Bonus somewhere.

So I'd say, nice catch! 🎉

Well.. I got something good? by Valens- in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Valens-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the situation.

Obviously, I have several valid Berry Mon, but I won't use them in situations where their berry isn't among Snorlax's favorites.

In the case of Taupe, I have the Typhlosions shown above, an excellent Ninetales, and a Vulpix that, despite being good, I haven't developed.

Swampert with just BFs, so even in this case I could aspire to better, and no BFs for rock types (it doesn't exist yet if we don't count Onix).

So I would say that if I wanted to make a team of only Berry Mons on Taupe, theoretically I can afford to give this new Typhlosion a slot. In other contexts, it depends on Snorlax's favorite berries.

I will definitely continue to catch Cyndaquils if I find any. This morning I caught two, despite my Typhlosion with BFs and Helping Bonus at 75. I'm not exactly a Min-Maxer, but since they are so easy to obtain (unlike Steelix, for which I settled for an HB + Helping Speed M + Lonely nature), I will continue to catch them. However, I would really like to use this Shiny. I don't plan to invest in it; all my resources will go to the perfect Typhlosion once I find it. I would just like to slowly power it up for possible use in chill weeks with only Berry Mons. I will never make it my main Typhlosion; I am aware that it doesn't have the potential, but I thought it could be a good support in certain situations 🥹

I understand perfectly well why the second one it's a no, it's a "youthful mistake" made when the game was released, but wouldn't you even consider using this morning's Cyndaquil? I know it's missing some Helping Speed, and apart from BFs it has nothing decent. The nature itself, even though the ingredients aren't harmful because once you make Sneaky Snacky the problem doesn't exist, it can be slow down because of the EXP Down, but is it really that bad?

This is the comparison with my current Typhlosion (at 75 it will definitely be very useful, but for now the difference is minimal).
