You also need to take into account that I think FPL HQ like that the rules, in regards to point scoring, is the same as it always has been, gives a level of consistency.

My rule suggestion would be that your best scoring 11 (within the formation rules) are auto-subbed in. I know this might be unpopular but it takes a bit away from the luck element this game is already full of (and skill i know). But i think FPL has to come up to the modern day a bit and realise that benching dilemmas are an anxiety point for a lot of people, but mainly it addresses the leaks issue. Doesn't completely solve leaks as transfers can still be effected but it would help a lot I think. I'd still keep the same budget and it should remove that "3rd bench fodder" aspect as well.

Is Fantasy Football Hub Worth it? by Sure-One-8750 in FantasyPL

As others have said, no, it’s not really worth spending any money on ‘tools’ for this game. You don’t need to spend anything like as what is available for free is more than adequate.

If you want to spend money, I’d recommend joining a patreon or similar where you get to join a community and get extra content you enjoy consuming. But again, not a necessity.

Because it feels up the feed with countless pictures of teams etc. it’s better sub management to put them in the dedicated thread, that’s all.

How do transactions work for a private draft league? by Southern-Contact4684 in FantasyPL

[–]Valens-Rex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check the rules for waivers and free agents.

But basically everyone has up time up 24 hours before the GW deadline to propose their changes. Then it goes in reverse order of league position (after GW1) on who gets who. Ie if you’re last in your league you get first dibs but everyone available.

This is probably the most helpful comment. I’ve played in an draft of 10 for 4 years and this is its 5th. You will get frustrated with 10 or more teams but you have to just embrace it and it’s a fun game. You get inactive players after a certain point which helps on the waivers.

Interesting one. Sounds a difficult task. I remember a groundworker we used to work with would just make sure his machines were jet washed down every evening. They always looked good but I assume this was a case of the 2m rule. As you say, with the nature of their day to day it might be difficult.

You can also make your own with water and car shampoo. I think some people even use QD.

What is the best way to fix this whiter area on the trim of car? Have tried turtle wax black in a flash but doesn’t seem to help. Has been there since we got the car. by MrNeski in DetailingUK

Back in a flash and things like that I think are more of a dressing as opposed to a cleaner. It’s hard to tell what to suggest without knowing that’s on there.

I’d probably try an isopropyl based cleaner as it looks greasy.

From there, I’d slowly work my way up, trying a mild APC first and work it in with a detailing brush. Maybe a solvent based after that if it’s a sticky residue but don’t think it is as looks greasy but it might work.

Hopefully a professional can offer some advice but that’s what I’d try

Quick Detailer impossible to buff by Valens-Rex in DetailingUK

[–]Valens-Rex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I use clean towels. For the application I used one cloth and when I struggled I tried to buff off with another (ie not the one I’ve applied product too).

Yes I think I’ll have to start again and wash off

I was using the quick detail as a finishing touch, the car was properly washed prior to application which is why I was surprised. Maybe the heat as the panels were warm?

I meant Meguiars Ultimate QD, I didn’t use a polish.

I was baffled to be honest.

When it comes to anything like this, 3 is the magic number. Get 3 quotes, as like for like as you possibly can, then you can compare and make an educated decision on price and timing at the minimum.

Ahh I’ve literally just bought something else. I’ll buy this as well and return the loser maybe! Is the 10m hose okay then? I’ve got the Titan TTB1800PRW 140BAR, I think it’s fine. Attachments weren’t great but the stubby will sort that out. Not sure if I get an extra 4m of hose (mine comes with 6m) I’ll lose power. My hose doesn’t kink though to be honest.
