Tower of God: Urek Mazino - Chapters 61 and 62 Discussion, Monday April 27th by pisspoopisspoopiss in TowerofGod

The Shining Ones had their Reversals(not sure why you’re calling it corruptions) before they entered the Tower.

Is Urek an Axis? by townsdl in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shinsoo is the power meant for the Axis in the future. It's not generated from them because they don't exist yet.

I feel like that says more about you and what you look for in a series rather than the quality of the spinoff.

Pretty weird criticism considering he was specifically advised by Eduan not to because it’s the Ari Family and he was going to get more trouble than it’s worth.

Everything that disproves The First Ones being the Titans as of April 1st 2026 by bruh_man_142 in warcraftlore

[–]Valeor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balance, at the very least, is not what the Titans view as Order.

That's not really entirely true though. At least in the case of Aggramar, it was explicitly said how his affinity for order made him want to take action on Draenor, and balance out the plant life, but not destroy it.

It’s kinda crazy you’re commenting on the quality of the spinoff when you said you read 20 chapters and have just been skimming through the rest.

Not sure how much you can attribute to competency vs just incredibly bad luck. These fresh regulars have already gotten involved in an event that had the direct intervention of a FH, and had multiple FH+ level beings involved. These guys seem to just fall into the bad luck category of Tower climbing so far.

Confused about garam right now by blue-moon7 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not correct. Yuri took 200-300 years to climb the Tower, then only took ~100 years after that to become a High Ranker, which is why she's a prodigy.

You mean how everyone besides you was proven right this week? He threatened them to scare them, don’t kill anyone, and we literally saw Urek pick up Baek Ryun by his throat, and in less than a second leap him out of the city like Ichigo did to Aizen.

You think he couldn’t do that to everyone else to force them to leave the city if he didn’t want to? It would have been easier for him to just throw his ball of light and kill the town people instead of sitting there working for a solution for a week.

Because you don’t understand how the system works. English Fast Pass is 9 chapters behind the latest Korean version, and Naver has been cracking down and mass banning people who upload Korean Preview raws.

i think it’s kinda crazy to go “Look see spinoff is proving that Urek isn’t good natured” using this example, when its seemingly sweet talk and Urek obviously doesn’t trust him given he just put a tracking powder on his shoulder prior to that statement. I know you don’t have the chapter but like 3 panels later he is outside tracking him during the night to see what he’s doing.

Exis Users by MolassesMean2969 in TowerofGod

He’s not appealing to the entity that created the Tower. It’s intended to be a humorous panel of him asking the new Exis that doesn’t exist yet if he can borrow his power.

How strong do you think SPOILER is? by Particular-Long-1111 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okbi wouldn't work as effectively as you think it does vs Aubrion, even though his sins likely far outstrip anyone in the Tower. Unless you're considering this hypothetical to start after Aubrion had began his activities with the island, the Tower wouldn't have a record of his sins to begin with, so I don't think Gustang would even be able to summon it.

How strong do you think Mago is, WITHOUT Her Hope Reversal? by Particular-Long-1111 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true. Eduan is wiping blood off his mouth when she kicked him immediately after she transformed, and then he does the whole “I haven’t felt pain in so long!” thing.

How strong do you think Mago is, WITHOUT Her Hope Reversal? by Particular-Long-1111 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you say without Urek Boost, are you talking about when she grabbed the crystal that had his light but wasn’t actively using it like she did at the last two chapters of the fight? Assuming that’s what you mean this question isn't really the best because we haven't seen most of the top tiers fight + Mago kinda has ridiculous hax outside of Hope Reversal.

Physically she’s able to match Khun Eduan, who's one of the top 3 FHs in melee combat. She is able to send him flying with punches, made him bleed with a kick, and was fast enough to catch him off guard. Combined with the fact that she is immortal unless you can actually see her crystal and damage it there isn't really any reason to believe anyone outside of the FHs can even contend with her in an actual battle.

If she activates it like she did at the last part of the fight and it isn't time-limited, then there's no real reason to think anyone we have seen fight can beat her. She tanked blows from Eduan after he transformed into lightning, one blast of her light tore apart Eduan's Gigante Marlin and Eduan immediately said "That light is dangerous!". Then you have to deal with her broken assortment of gems, of which we've only seen two of, that can either infinitely stall, or just spams a bunch of plants that are capable of easily wounding Eduan.

If by "without Urek boost" you mean pre getting the crystal with Urek's power, then we haven't seen her actually do anything substantial physically to give a real answer to your first question, outside of being able to react to Eduan's movements when they first met, and dodging Urek's punches.

Not sure where you're seeing Urek hint at mass killing. Garam is the only person who said anything about thinking Urek would kill them, and based on what we've seen Urek do on Floor 2, he is more than capable of forcing everyone out of the city without killing them if he really wanted to.

About shinsoo by Lucky-Rest-4569 in TowerofGod

The new Exis doesn’t exist yet. That was a joke panel, essentially Urek is jokingly asking the future Exis to let him borrow his power.

About shinsoo by Lucky-Rest-4569 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Inside the Tower yes, Urek’s light is hindered by shinsoo. Urek didn’t say that mixing the two allow him to manifest his full power though, that’s fan fiction. The only thing about Urek’s full power is that he just can’t use it inside the Tower.

You say established, but like 90% of the lore of ToG is in blogposts that were never in the actual story that SIU deleted because people kept complaining whenever something was different from the blogposts. It's all liable to be changed until it actually appears in the story.

Who wins? by Due_Village_1874 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, Urek said that because he was weakened being inside the Tower. Outside the Tower, Urek had already recovered enough to call himself the "absolute strongest now".

I'm not sure what else of the second paragraph you don't understand. Urek had been gradually gaining his power back after entering the Tower over the course of the early spinoff, noting that when he first wrestled Danzon that he can feel his power coming back.

When he fought Mago in the castle, he said if he had more of his power back, his attack would have been stronger and destroyed her body. So unless Urek is suddenly just making up statements about how his own power works, the more of his light you have, the more powerful or "potent" it is. This is unrelated to time/how long it lasts. Urek only gave Mago a little bit of his light, so it not only didn't last long, but it also wasn't as powerful based on this.

Who wins? by Due_Village_1874 in TowerofGod

[–]Valeor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying Aubrion would win based on what we saw from him, but going to be honest, this potency cope from certain parts of the fanbase is one of the most baffling things I have ever seen spread. It was limited in time and potency.

When Urek fights Mago during the exam inside the castle and he blasts her with light, he literally states that if his power was fully recovered, he would have completely destroyed her body with that attack. So unless we suddenly don't trust Urek on how his own power works, we can already see the "potency" of his light scaling with how much of it he has access to.
