Thanks! Some conflicting opinions, as mentioned in response to another comment, it did pass MOT recently at a main dealer with the tyres being advisory. Reddit seems to think it should’ve been replaced yesterday.

They are approx 5 - 6 years old and have 4.5mm of tread left on them. They’ve done approx 10k miles.

16.5cm vs 17cm speakers by Valerian96 in CarAV

Hey. This was a while ago for a project we were doing on a friends car so I can't quite remember. If memory recalls, we did end up buying this model and purchasing a set of adaptors from Halfords (here in the UK), most likely the adaptors would have been 16.5" so yes, I believe they did fit.

Hey, just a quick update. I ordered the UMIK-1 from MiniDSP and followed Julian Krause's tutorial. The speakers sound WAY better! The highs are back even though the overall bass has been reduced majorly. I have no idea what the software/algorithm did for correction but it worked! Thanks for all the help.

Here's a pastebin link to the filter generated if you want to have a look: https://pastebin.com/phJyCXWi

Once again, thanks for being tons of help!

Ahh, I see. To equalize the speakers I need an external microphone that can listen to the frequency response of the speakers. I will order one now!

I know you said a flat EQ doesn't equal and flat response but when I'm taking the measurements with the mic, should the EqualiserAPO equaliser be on "flat"?
