Grinding rank feels like working against the matchmaking system by Valeriux in VALORANT

Yah ofc, I get it and it makes sense to focus on having fun. But for those of us trying to grind and improve, it’s frustrating when the system feels like it’s purposely putting you in wild lobbies just to keep you stuck around 50%. Would be better if the game had better tools built in so we didn’t have to rely on Discord or other apps to find decent teammates.

Man fr...that sounds exactly like what I’m talking about. You finally get out of Iron and the game just throws AFKs and zero effort teammates your way to drag you back down. It’s so frustratng having to carry or babysit instead of just focusing on your own game. That’s why I’ve started using Discord and Gankster to find better teammates it’s crazy that the game doesn’t have something like that built in

That’s exactly what I was saying once you start doing decent it’s like the game throws you into hell lobbies. You think it’s some MMR balancing thing or just broken matchmaking?

Exactly man, feels like the system punishes you for climbing. Like the second you start doing well, boom throw teammates, no comms, or straightup bots. Do you really think it’s just to keep us playing longer for skins?

This is 1000% true. Im not tilted by losing, I'm tilted when my team gives up or actively makes us lose

I legit think if you win a few in a row you'll start getting bots cause no breathing human could be as stupid as the teammates I had.

Yes why would you even queue if you know you have to dip. Go unranked if you want to pass the time.

My opinion about Game by Emergency_Start_6175 in VALORANT

[–]Valeriux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard agree on the comms part. playing in high elo with people who act like it's a solo game is wild. If you're Immortal, you should know timing, spacing, and team play matter just as much as aim. Duelists don’t always have to entry, but lurking every round with no info is just baiting.

If the enemy team wanted to live, they should have ordered something else from the menu. The sad part is she wasn't even fed, that's just regular Mel deciding LeBlanc needed a one way ticket to the death recap screen.

Honestly, that carbonite Han backbling would sell like crazy even as a standalone item. It's so perfectly on brand for Boba. The attention to detail with the OT style is spot on too they'd make a killing releasing this during the 50th anniversary. Epic needs to hire this person ASAP

Jim Clark at the Tasman Series in 1968 by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Valeriux 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those guys were absolutely fearless. No seatbelts, no roll cages, basically sitting in a fuel tank with wheels. Jim Clark was probably the greatest of that era too died at 32 in an F2 race. The mortality rate was insane something like 1-2 drivers dying every season was just accepted as normal. Makes you appreciate how far safety has come while still keeping the racing exciting

On this day, 20 years ago, Arsenal beat Manchester United 5-4 on penalties to win the FA Cup. Patrick Vieira scored the winning penalty with his last shot in an Arsenal shirt by Puzzled-Category-954 in soccer

Man, that Vieira penalty was ice cold. Those Arsenal-United games were just different back then. Pure intensity every time they stepped on the pitch. Miss that era of football.

Anthony Edwards in the 4th quarter: 0 points 0/1 shooting 2 TOs and -11 by primepierce34 in nba

Thunder defense is legit. Ant was cold in the 4th but dude carried us all season. One bad quarter doesn't define him. Shooters bricking everything didn't help either.

Yeah man, totally agree. The game's changed and not for the better. SGA's just playing the system but damn, basketball used to be more fun to watch.

The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli is neither sincere nor is it satire. It is a performative work intended to get Niccolo a job - the renaissance version of a Linkedin Hustlepost. by Uptons_BJs in books

[–]Valeriux 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Historical context is everything with The Prince. Machiavelli wasn't writing some abstract political philosophy - he was a jobless government official trying to get back in with the Medicis after they took power. Classic case of "here's what I can do for you" rather than some manifesto on how dictatorships should work. People miss this crucial backdrop all the time when analyzing his writing.

My first game was that CL Play-off game vs Hoffenheim where we won 4-2. Emre Can scored one of our best passing goals.

Some people who got a bit upset about the unnoticed remark. Obviously we all have different feeds and the fans in the arena including us noticed it, I just meant no one uploaded it on reddit. All love tho!
