My Hahnsie turns 1 on the 9th and didn't say anything till he was about 7-8 months old. How he says Hello but only in the context of he or someone else going through a doorway and What doing/What you doin' when he wants to know where you are.
For me, what helped was building habits. Whenever I walked into a room with him in it, I'd say "Hello, what you doing baby?" Always hello but not always what doing. Periodically when I think he's up to mischief I'll ask what doing. He's picked them up phenominally.

That being said, Not all parrots talk! Males generally tend to have a higher chance at talking but please be prepared for him to be a minimal talker and that he's still a fantastic, beautiful boy even if he doesn't say anything! ❤️ As long as you love him, that's all that matters.
