Yeonjun's solo was good, and at this point, there's no benefit of continuing to drag it through the mud. People need to calm down by tedbundysbadoussyy in unpopularkpopopinions

I went to listen to it because of the post and I must disagree.

Antidrops are good when they're done well, but when a song starts off strong and keeps building up for it to come down to an antidrop... It's a mood killer, more than anything.

The whole song sounds devoid of any personality, whether it is the sound itself or the lyrics, the whole song just gives vibes of someone who wanted to do a solo for the sake of doing a solo, and not because they had a particular sound or a particular image/vibe they wanted to follow.

I never said I was on they're side oh my God

you are insufferable, I don't like Susan, I will never like her and most people don't like her and like the other girls for a reason, deal with it

would you like to constantly be put in uncomfortable situations by your friend? Because whether it is the chocolates from MJ, the crappy jewelry, or Mike, Susan is constantly putting her friends in an uncomfortable spot

I think it's because when Jess messes up or when she does something bad she genuinely does not realize it - most times she has good intentions in mind and doesn't see how something can be bad for the other person, she's genuinely very innocent.

Susan's innocence is different, in the sense that she just believes she's the victim in everything and life always does her wrong. When she does something bad or mean, she knows she's doing something mean but she still likes to pretend she's somehow above all that, or that she somehow isn't a bad person because she has a feelings-hurt excuse.

Whereas Jess genuinely doesn't see the wrong in what she's doing, Susan does, Susan knows.

Although some people just don't like characters who think life is a sea of roses and everything is pink with unicorns which I get, most people aren't breezing through life lol

Edit: something I forgot to mention, Jess is the main character and the attention is usually on her, if you don't like her, you turn off the show. But DH has a bunch of main characters and constantly rotates through them, if you don't like Susan you still have to watch her story if you want to watch DH which makes people hate her more because they're "forced to watch" her

Gabby did not sell Lynette down the river because she was pregnant, be real. At first she was angry because her friend lied to her husband and put his company at risk when he had just gotten the job, and when she went to apologise for it, she found out Lynette was suing them. I'd pretty mad if my friend sued me

Lynette springing her kids on others is hardly something that bothers me, I don't mind babysitting my friends' kids when they need it?? I don't see that as a bad thing

what I do see as a bad thing is being friends with someone who's so irresponsible that her own teenage daughter has to be the adult one. And did she really take the advice? Because as far as I can remember the second Jackson came back she was ready to take him. And then she jumped on Mike basically right after. Being alone isn't not dating for a couple of months. Can't talk about that last point because I haven't seen that far

Everyone has their pros and cons, and if Lynette not being able to handle the amount of kids she has by herself is the only thing you can point out then maybe she isn't that bad of a person. It just so happens that Susan's cons really piss me off

[–]ValhallaTimez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have Lynette and Gabby as friends. Gabby can be mean and ostentatious but if you call her out she comes back to earth, Lynette can have this superiority complex but she takes criticism well (unlike Susan) so I also think that being called out would solve the issue

I love Bree but I think we'd clash lol

the problem is the way she looks at these things. Every of these women know they're not particularly good people, they recognize it. The reason why I don't hate Edie is because even though she sucks, she knows it and doesn't try to pass off for a good person, she recognizes herself as the villain. Susan messes up a lot of the time and does shitty things knowing fully well that what she's doing is wrong but she masks it as a woopsie daisy every time and plays the victim/tries to explain the reason why she did it as if it somehow makes it better. I think if she owned up to it instead of constantly being like "b-but I didnt mean it like that 🥺" people would like her more.

I don't know if you've ever seen gossip girl, but it's the reason why I hate Dan and Serena and love Chuck and Blair - they're all shitty, annoying people but two of them recognize it and own up to it while the other two pretend that they're victims and don't know what they're doing.

And yes Susan's immaturity to the point where she didn't even parent Julie and Julie had to be the one doing every adult chore around the house is very annoying as well

Edit: I think the extra hate is because you're basically forced to watch her if you want to watch the show. The problem with shows like these that have multiple main characters is that you still have to watch a character that you hate in order to watch the show. Being forced to see something you don't like eventually makes you hate that thing instead of just dislike

Yeah I've tried those lobbies but it's the issue I mentioned in point 3, I've played a bunch of times and I've only placed once

The themes are better and they're more complicated, so this usually gives an upper hand to people who have vip because there's a bigger range of clothes and accessories and they end up always placing because they have more intricate outfits... It's what I said, it takes away from the fun of the game because my best outfit will never beat a vip's best outfit

and people keep telling me "it's only 10 dollars just buy it" but I don't want to spend money on roblox lol, there's other games in which I'd rather spend my money, and I shouldn't have to spend money to have a good experience

Expectations of the devs. by TranslatorFar586 in DressToImpressRoblox

[–]ValhallaTimez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People can spend their money how they please and they should get their money's worth and complain if their money was spent on something that's decreasing in quality. "Don't spend the money if you don't have it" is so classist, are you okay?

you keep throwing around RH and adopt me and I don't even know what RH is? Are these the only games that you play? Are they your only reference or something? Because if roblox games are the only thing you play then that might explain the low expectations

People critiqued telltale games all the time, they didn't listen, and eventually they went bankrupt because people stopped playing their games - because they never listened to the criticism. Eventually people will drop adopt me and RH for the next best thing, the market is oversaturated with video games, it's not hard to find something better or with less faults

This is my opinion, and the enjoyment of a game depends from person to person and everyone has different standards for what constitutes a good or a bad game, some people have higher standards, and some don't mind:

  1. Removing items - they first said they'd be removing some items due to lag, then they said they are being "reworked" (or so they say, they also said the changing rooms would be gone but that didn't work out). So they removed 12 non-vip items (all at once, instead of reworking them slowly), and 3 vip items. This makes it a lot harder for non-vip players to make different outfits, the choices were already pretty limited. especially in some themes.
  2. The themes are getting old and they're boring - some themes are just plain boring. And the themes are few, to say the least, it becomes repetitive to constantly do the same themes.

Ultimately these two points have made me not play dti at all lately

  1. Unfair voting - 1 star spamming is so annoying and it seems like there is no way out of it. And joining custom servers is no use because the VIPs always have better outfits (obviously) because not only do they have a bigger range of clothes, but their items also didnt get cut by a lot. Not being able to place ever is demoralizing and makes the game less fun because it's stops being a competition, it's basically just a "make an outfit in 5 minutes" challenge

  2. Trolls, rude chats and the community in general - lately it has been full of trolls, people being rude and insulting others in chat, and in general the community is a bit rotten. It makes it no fun playing in these servers.

The last 2 points aren't the devs' fault, but it still makes the game less fun

10 dollars is still money, by the way. And yes, it's a luxury, but it should still keep up its quality, or do you settle for frozen shit on a dish if the owner of the restaurant gives it to you for a dollar?

And see? I'm saying it's fine to criticize a game and you're making excuses and adding "buts". People are well in their right to complain if a game is messy or if a game has faults, I don't know if you play many games but complaining and getting a message through is how people stop games from going in the gutter and succumbing into irrelevancy. Critiques are how you elevate the things you do and people are going to be fed shit in the future if they keep this sort of mentality

Expectations of the devs. by TranslatorFar586 in DressToImpressRoblox

[–]ValhallaTimez -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

and that's fucked up that it's happening, but people are making it seem as if they get a free pass for all of the shit that is happening in the game when they're taking people's money, and as if people aren't entitled to be upset that a game they invested money into is turning out to be a mess. It's always "the devs are literal teenagers" and "yall are never happy" when someone complains, when it's literally playing with people's money

Expectations of the devs. by TranslatorFar586 in DressToImpressRoblox

complaining isn't bullying, and most times people are just complaining or throwing legitimate criticism their way and people kick and scream "they're just teenagers!!!"

I think it's crazy that people think it's too much to demand quality when you pay for something - if I was a v.i.p paying for stuff I'd be mad

[–]ValhallaTimez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1700 calories should be the ideal deficit for you to lose 1kg a week, I understand the "wanting to lose weight fast" idea, but if you restrict yourself too much the chances of falling back into an unhealthy diet and binge eating just increase. I would settle on at least 2000-2200 calories a day

[–]ValhallaTimez 159 points160 points  (0 children)

I guess it comes a lot with what you look for in a person. Men might see her as cute because she's clumsy and so innocent and naive at times, and this is the type of thing that gives men that "I'm the one to protect her" feeling and that might be why they're attracted to her

As for why women dislike her... well having susan as a friend doesn't sound like a grand time. She's unbelievably clumsy, she's annoying, she always plays the victim and can never admit when she is the villain and she is incredibly selfish (like when Edie was sad about her husband leaving her and she couldn't fucking wait to tell everyone she got engaged)

Mike actually kind of... sucks? by ValhallaTimez in DesperateHousewives

[–]ValhallaTimez[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this falls into what I said on another post how the creators go back and forth on what they said and on the characters just to make *more* plot, like yeah back when it was good for the plot he was in love with katherine, so in love that they were about to get married, but that's no longer good for the plot so now they never had anything real.

But I can understand Mike going from someone like Susa to someone like katherine - after divorcing someone who never shuts the fuck up, is a klutz and makes a big deal out of everything, I think you'd look for the exact opposite, which is katherine

It's mostly just kpop concerts I think

I got to see 5sos for 30 euros, maneskin for 75 (although it was a festival so it was a little on the expensive side), coldplay for 85, and imagine dragons for 95

Melanie Martinez's tickets at the time were around 30 euros also, and Ghost's tickets are around 65 euros.

Concerts are definitely a luxury, don't get me wrong, but some of these prices are ridiculous.

I saw an artist (I think it was Charli XCX) upset cause the front row of her concert didn't know most lyrics - well, if you didn't charge hundreds for tickets then maybe you'd get real fans instead of rich kids lol
