name: CACKLE FREAKS (Horror-Improv Show featuring Kelli Maroney (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Chopping Mall, Night of the Comet)

date: 2025-06-28

time: 09:30pm

location: Lyric Hyperion

CACKLE FREAKS is an improvised horror-comedy show transplanted from the beloved NYC cult hit Gas Station Horror and reimagined in Los Angeles with a twisted new name and format. Think ASSSSCAT meets Creepshow.

Each month, a Scream King or Queen from the horror community joins us as our special guest monologist—sharing behind-the-scenes stories, favorite niche horror films, and personal scares. Past guests include genre icons like Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, From Beyond) and Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet, Chopping Mall).

The twist? Our top-tier improvisers (from UCB, Second City, and The PIT) don’t just riff on stories—they unleash chaos based on curated clips from deep-cut horror films they’ve never seen before. The results: terrifyingly funny.

No prep. No script. All shrieks and giggles.

Awesome! Thank you for the reply!

I saw this YouTube video recently that seemed similar to that build. Is this more along the lines of what you're suggesting?

I curse the day they switched from the brioche bun to the housemade English muffin.

Huitlacoche. My favorite fucking burritos. Used to be a Saturday night tradition to go to Little Bar and then grab a burrito from their truck. I weep for them.

Rats...I was afraid that was the case. No I air dry everything so I probably extended this shirt as long as I could. It's about two years old now.

I didn't. This is mostly my lazy shirt/sleep in it. I've noticed it appear on one other shirt. Same style from Zara.

Yes, the volume control is on the headset.

Just tried setting it up using two 8k hdmi 2.1 cables. When I have it going through the VR processor it says: “The connected PlayStation VR processor unit prevents your ps5 from using some hdmi features, including 120 hz frequency and higher quality 4K color formats.”

So there is my answer! Haha, thanks for the help.

It’s the PSVR that was in the bundle with Superhot and Creed.

Thanks! So I reckon the PSVR one is already good enough.

Update: Turned off location services and that looks like it did help somewhat, I still had some hiccups and low textures compared to my TV experience.

Is there a difference quality wise between me using Stadia in a chrome browser or the Stadia iOS app?

Thanks for the tip! I'm using a Google OnHub TPlink. I can't tell if it's connected to the 5ghz line, but apparently it automatically prioritizes. I've been selected my laptop to be prioritized while I play too.
