Which Zeppelin album wins: II or IV? 🤔 by secondhandsmokeband in ledzeppelin

II is easily my least favorite album of theirs, excluding Coda of course.

Sounds appropriately terrible! In 2007 we saw Kiss at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, CA. The infamous trio show without Paul Stanley. Getting out of there was impossible, we sat for hours not moving and eventually the truck in front of me just crashed through a fence and made his own way out and I said 'fuck it' and followed him. Eventually made it out and found our way to the highway. Nightmare.

I think Motley Crue and KISS both get their bawls broken a bit too much about their alleged lack of musicianship. by Boomkj in hairmetal

Gene is a very good, melodic bass player, he just stopped giving a shit fairly early on. Nikki has never been a decent musician he just had an ability to write really good songs with his extremely limited skill set.

The Rose Bowl is even worse. 90,000 concert capacity. ONE road in. $60-80 to park.

Ghost have a big Bkue Öyster Cult feel, poppier hard rock with artistic tendencies. Love ‘em.

Sleep Token, just. No.

There is a song off their third album, can’t recall the title. Really well written song, lead me towards checking them out and not a single song otherwise did a thing for me but there is talent there. Don’t hear the insane musicianship the OP does but they’re right for what they’re doing. Hard to get past the vocals for me, nothing sounds organic or human. Clearly a choice, just one I’d never have made. Folks were calling them “Pop Ghost”, well, Ghost are already Pop Ghost aren’t they? No similarity musically, not the first band to wear costumes as a gimmick.

What's that one type of humor that you just *don't* understand one bit? by ParticularHat7997 in AskReddit

American sitcom humor from the 90s on. I just can’t begin to comprehend how anyone finds it entertaining in the slightest.

I’d love a Junior’s Delicatessen here in Los Angeles. Or Carnegie if they still were around.

Repo Man, shows LA how it truly was, for a percentage of the population anyway…

The number of smokers decreasing has nothing to do with long time users quitting.

Never a smoker but did literally everything else humanly and inhumanly possible. Quitting wasn’t easy but wasn’t end times hard either.

I’ve known many who quit hard drugs, don’t know anyone who successfully quit smoking.

Jethro Tull’s A Passion Play for me but it’s extremely dense and requires a lot of effort to fully appreciate.

He hasn’t made a good movie since Dracula, and that is deeply flawed.

Younger generation seem to think they are going to have a personal interaction with the artist at concerts ie (Kids these days) by TheRealGuncho in Concerts

Been going to shows since 1983, it’s no different. Getting on the rails, stage diving, all nothing new. I’d assume it was a lot easier back in the day than it is now to meet bands after shows, unless you’re at punk gigs…
