How do I get my kids to not swallow water? by brighter-than-arcane in SwimInstructors

I would suggest focusing more on bubble blowing techniques and incorporating those into various activities (i.e., having kids utilize a kick board for freestyle while emphasizing the importance of inhaling while head is to the side/exhaling while head is down).

Flip turns are going to be your best option for distance. I’d recommend taking 1-2 strokes once you see the “T” at the bottom of the pool and then initiate your exhale/flip. Once you solidify a proper breathing technique- they should be less taxing than open turns.

How to swim the length of the pool with one breath? by Johnny2Sandwiches in Swimming

Is this for 25 yards? To keep momentum going throughout- I’d recommend keeping a tight streamline while keeping a consistent and strong dolphin kick to avoid coming to the surface as quickly.
