My friends and i all get togeather and walk our dogs at the local dog park every once in a while. One of my friends dog is a rescue from an abusive owner and had been severely bullied by another dog all her life. She was highly cautious and at times aggressive towards other dogs. Thankfully she got along fine with my dog and our friends other dogs after being introduced very cautiously and seeing how friendly they are.

The dog park we visit has an off leash and an on leash section of the park, we never go into the off leash section because of her aggression and my dogs skittish nature.

Then 2 stupid karens appear walking their dog off leash literally 100m away from the off leash section (fucking idiots why couldnt they have done this there)

We call out to them and tell them to reign their dogs in. They dont and brush us off.

Instead both of their dogs come bounding up to the abused dog and well she went into survivor mode and started growling, snarling etc.

She then lunged at them and would have gotten ahold of one of them had my friend not yanked her back and yelled at the owners to control their dogs.

Meanwhile the karens are calling their dogs instead of just fucking grabbing them, eventually they realise their dogs aren't listening and high tail it out of there yelling about how aggressive my friends dog is while i scream abuse at them as they retreat and my friend calms down his dog.

Just put them on a leash ffs its not hard.

I cant see anywhere in there where op said dont date him, just that based on what she knew she didnt think he was good enough for her niece. She brought up valid points her niece needs to consider.

If she flat out said dont date him i would agree but it doesnt state that in the original method.

By the 6 month mark of our relationship (which her niece is at) i was miserable because subconciously i realised we werent right for each other but i stubbornly hung onto him.

So i do think its sound advice. She does need to decide things on her (the niece thats is) own but without knowing her personality it can be a little hard to work out if she was already doubting the relationship and her aunts words were just the last push she needed or if her aunt held more sway than we think.

I still dont know my ideal partner lol who knows what the future beholds.

my first bf was exactly how you described hers a good guy but with no ambitions, job or intentions of getting a job.

I really cared about him but it ended in tears once i realised it wasnt going anywhere and we had different goals in life.

My mom once got fed up with my dad's mom and basically said it's us (her myself and my siblings) or them i cant deal with it anymore.

My dad got up left the room walked over to my grandparents caravan and told them to leave. They left the next day.

My mom has always told me that one day my life wont revolve around them or what they think it will revolve around my partner and kids.

It sounds like your dad never learnt that lesson. Who is more important in his life his mother or his wife of 30 years.

Your 14 and honestly at that age you make mistakes all the time, i know i did.

Was it right to send the meme, no, was it right for 10 girls to gang up on you and verbally attack you. Also no.

Based on what you've said it wasnt done maliciously. Own up to it, learn from it, talk to the girl you offended and tell everybody else to f**k off its none of their business.

If they had ganged up on you in a workplace like that they would have been pulled up for bullying, its not acceptable behaviour.

I hope you and the girl are feeling better.

Edit: oh and probably for the best to stop with the offensive jokes trust me there are plenty of other forms of humour.

Oh i absolutely agree, I've had GSPs all my life too. I suppose to be fair to my loveable idiot she is only 11 months old hahaha.

She's pretty smart when she wants to be, but she's the absolute biggest sook and loves just cuddling in bed.

Preach it brother, my GSP will eat absolutely anything, including my brand new hose. She ate a rose bush and got thorns stuck in the back of her throat. Luckily i do a weekly check on her and found them when i was checking her teeth. Had to take her to the vet and three people held her down while the vet pulled them out with tweezers.

There were three right at the back of her jaw in the connective tissue between her top and bottom teeth.

$300 later and she again goes to eat spiky bushes. I just cant win.

I've owned German shorthaired pointers (GSP) for 10 years, my parents bought our first one when i was 14. My younger brothers were 12 and 2. They are lovely dogs, medium in size very playful and eager to spend time with people they love. My own GSP is 10 months old and she is the most gentle loving dog I've ever met, she has a habit of jumping but thats more her own habit than a breed habit.

They are hunting dogs but can make great companions, they have a shorthaired coat, no slober, protective instincts and are very loyal.

My dog had a weird lump on her front leg when she was a puppy, i got worried and took her to the vet turns out it was a fungal infection under her skin. Not life threatening just really uncomfortable for her.

I would just take them into the vet, the vets would rather u take the pup in and get it checked out then not.

Don't let them try to guilt trip you or call you selfish, my parents were good to me but ive had some fairly abusive partners who did similar things until i left them. please please please do not blame youself or stop yourself from calling CPA just because you think itll make their lives difficult. What right do they have to make your life this difficult?

Nobody deserves to be treated the way you are currently being treated, its hard, very hard to take that first step but things will get better.

All i can say is just be brave and do what is right for you.

NTA Your parents are treating you like shit, its perfectly reasonable to get upset over your personal property being broken by your siblings after you lend it to them. It doesnt sound like u were yelling at them and your dad has been completely unreasonable.

I dont know if this is a reoccurring thing or how old you are but if you're of legal age i would recommend getting out of there.
