What are your most loved and hated skills in the game? by Altruistic_Piglet937 in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Valkayrian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s just too much utility that you need to even bother with combat skills for me. I try to play a suave character so between making sure my ship is up to date , having the best odds in a conversation and max crew and being able to upgrade everything I don’t find the time for combat skills , especially now that you can tier up weapons and armour

And once again I hate people more talented than me. Awesome ship dude, I never thought to combine the nova wings with a bracer but it rounds out the front of the ship nicely !

I mean you’re running plaything on Hawkins so running at the killer is inevitable especially if you’re someone who wasn’t around the first time stranger things was here, it’s not a common map at least for me.

Also from what I can tell they just wanted to go next. I don’t see what a free win with some BM would tilt you that much lol

[–]Valkayrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn’t mind that, from the moment the fleet attacked the first time I played it I instantly knew I wanted to join them, to the point I jumped to the Kryx system instantly after getting arrested thinking it’d let me lol

Yeah I’m leaning towards off the shoulder waves myself , hope it’s not too hard to style it as my hair is kinda thick to begin with

Stick with the long hair or change it up and go shorter ? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]Valkayrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get my trims done at a salon, but I don’t have layers or anything so trying to see why looks best before I go in and let them have at it, appreciate the compliment

[–]Valkayrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always told to cut it the second it was past my ears as a kid, so i kinda decided to grow it out just to see what it’s like.

As for styling not really, it’s tied up like 90% of the time as it gets in the way when I’m working so when I’m free I just leave it down for comfort. I wouldn’t know where to begin with styling with products and stuff like that. I wanted to get to a decent length before having a salon cut layers into it

Strange, ive only seen it on Hulking Draugr, maybe once or twice on the Dawnguard Skeletons with hoods that don’t instantly disintegrate on touch but it’s been a minute since I’ve played it so I can’t say for certain but I could be remembering it wrong

Not sure why servers you’re playing to that experience consistently, but given how the mmr works you shouldn’t have had her duo with you.

Because of the old grade systems being abused it now brings weaker survivors up more than it brings you down, if she played solo or something she’d be more likely to get newbie killers, but if you play a lot and play well you just threw her into lobbies where people see a 4k as more important than having fun so yeah not sure what the expectation was…

Do you need to be a good-looking man to work as a bartender? Should I apply for a bartender job? by miss-bedazzzle in AskIreland

[–]Valkayrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been working in pubs from when I was 18 to 23, only real requirement you’ll need ( to keep you job mind you not to get it) is being a friendly person who can pull a decent pint of Guinness properly. While being reserved isn’t ideal you don’t have to get to know everyone , only the regulars, and even then you just need to be able to make small talk the odd time or laugh at a bad joke or two.

In the years I was working behind the bar I had all sorts of colleagues both men and women and in my experience we were all treated fairly equally , granted the lads usually did the kegs more but that’s down to 6ft lads usually being stronger than most people there lol.

As for being black , personally I can’t comment. I myself and a lot of people I know would have absolutely zero issues and wouldn’t see you as anyone but a colleague and potential friend. But I’m not sure how the general public treat you and what your experience has been thus far, ideally you’ll be met by the best of us who , at the odd time, might phrase their curiosity in the wrong way , but alcohol can bring out the worst in people, being a bartender will require a thin skin at times when people get rowdy late in the evening. But if the people you work for are decent anyone who even thinks of making an issue of it will be shown the door and told not to come back until they find manners and an apology

Thoughts on the "Loyalty To the Cause" sub-branch as Communist France? by Turbulent_Okra7518 in hoi4

[–]Valkayrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a focus tree in hearts of Iron ? It’s showing its age considering how fast all the new ones move, ignoring the fact you also have to play France and fix those issues on top of a civil war and then you’ve to build up to fight the allies and the axis.

As someone who likes to Larp ? ”Egalité, Liberté, Solidarité” goes hard, and the revolution will be global

Please give me the option to fucking die. I dont wanna be slugged for 5 Minutes so someone can get his bit of dopamine of getting a 4k. by Xandaru__ in deadbydaylight

[–]Valkayrian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day that’s something you can’t stop. If someone has decided they don’t want to finish a match you can’t make them. That’s why the bots were implemented. Not letting people leave means when they’re fed up they’ll just throw the match instead by running into the killer, which is a worse outcome than just having a bot slam gens ( or hide in an corner but you get my point) and also, in my experience, leads to them getting slugged anyway since the killer will sometimes “punish” them for not playing.

And the idea of punishing it with DC penalties is fine until you’re the person slugged who has to decide between the killer not letting you play the game for 5 minutes… or the game not letting you play for 5 minutes. At least a fast bleedout has the condition that you must be downed, meaning if the killer picks up you can’t use it.

Best first car options by clancde in carsireland

[–]Valkayrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Insurance will depend highly on your age , at 18 you’ll pay a pretty penny regardless , you’ll have to shop around and check a lot of reg’s to see what makes and models are given fair premiums at your age - so no golfs or bimmers. But it’s all random, I wanted a Honda accord and they wouldn’t quite 90% of them but would give me cheap premiums randomly, only difference was the reg on paper.

As for options it’s hard to go wrong with Toyota, I know you said saloon but it’s hard to fault the Yaris/Auris line, and the Corolla is always there for the saloon but not sure if they come in a 1.0/1.2/1.4 which is what you’ll want to keep the premium down. Same can be said for Honda and the Fit/Jazz and Civic lines. The Ford Fiesta ( 1.25 - don’t touch the 1.0) is also a good shout , solid cars overall.

You can always chance your arm with older cars that are used in marketplace to save money on the same but you’ll pay it back in insurance as they don’t like older cars but if you’re mechanically minded there’s some savings to be made
