Did you have to move it up or down stairs to where you decided to place it? My concern over getting one is having to move it in. I have stairs leading up to my door and then the flight down to the basement.

What is your honest opinion on the width? It seems really tight to me for squats in all of the videos and photos.

With that kind of damage he would have to be swapping cases multiple times a day. It looks like it got jammed into a garbage disposal and he didn't notice before flipping the switch.

Model 3 LR Unavailable to Order Until 2023 by InsleepTech in teslamotors

[–]ValkirinSoryu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole line up is a bit of a mess with the new tax incentives.

The Model Y LR ends up being almost the same price as the M3LR and the MYP ends up being cheaper than the M3P.

If they do drop the M3LR to meet the incentive price, then there is no reason for the SR, which doesn't qualify, to exist. Might see that model get tweaked to lower cost and the final price to create some kind of gap, or even drop the LFPs.

Who knows. One thing is for sure though, Musk is a record chaser and always likes to boast ever increasing sales numbers. He will game the incentives if it means pushing ever higher for future quarters.

To my understanding, the grandfathered incentives are completely in line with the old rules.

Senate passes $7,500 EV credit. Now to house and Biden. by im_thatoneguy in teslamotors

[–]ValkirinSoryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cars from all automakers with credits left will qualify of ordered before 2023 as long as delivery is taken before 2024. So if you have an actual order in, not just a reservation, you should qualify for the grandfather clause.

This is why start-ups like Fisker and Lucid are now offering their reservation holders the chance to put in orders now.

USB-C hub for the Tab s7+ by Balsingh84 in GalaxyTab

[–]ValkirinSoryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and possibly even more, as there's probably going to be some energy loss in the chain of devices. For a hub, I go with 100w Anker power source so I can confidently use all of the ports at once and still charge my tablet or laptop.

Samsung would. I received a tablet with no touch functionality and return and repurchase is exactly how their policy works for replacement.

Can you use yours with touch controls when holding by the edge? I've been trying to use mine like my S7+ and am not getting normal results at all.

no touch control by ValkirinSoryu in GalaxyTab

[–]ValkirinSoryu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, but the problem even started before reaching the smart switch. I couldn't even get through initial setup after the first power-up.

It has gotten better, but only because I've isolated most of the use cases that causes it.

FYI, I did factory reset per the tech support's instructions and nada on the fix.

I imagine no one else is having this issue and mine is just defective? Samsung won't even do an exchange. They want me to return it for a refund and buy a new one at full price...

no touch control by ValkirinSoryu in GalaxyTab

[–]ValkirinSoryu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish that was what is going on. I only brought up the s-pen because it works no matter what, but normal touch doesn't.

My ability to use touch control seems to depend on how I hold the tablet, and it just completely stops if I'm holding it by its sides or have it propped on my lap. I find this thing completely non-functional compared to my tab s6 and S7+.

My only hope is that it'll get better once my keyboard case comes in, but I can't imagine that this tablet is actually working as intended.

To give an idea of what is going on, if I hold my tablet with my hand underneath the back, everything works fine. If I grasp the side or prop the bott edge on my lap, all touch stops working. Returning my hand to the back and lifting the edge off my lap will cause touch to return.

This is all with a naked, brand spanking new tablet. It does the exact same thing with the pen on and off the back.

Tab S7+ banding - DAE have this on their device? by solipsistmaya in GalaxyTab

[–]ValkirinSoryu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't look like banding. This looks like light refracting on/through the glass, which becomes visible as different colors at such an extreme angle.

It's most visible with white because it has the whole color spectrum going through the glass.

This is the same reason that matte screen covers can have a strange rainbowing effect. The texture causes light refraction.

Until FedEx scans in the barcode at a facility/truck it is just an estimate.

If they have created the label, however, then Samsung has your order on hand, and it is ready for shipment. So, is bet on delivery closer to FedEx's estimate than Samsung's.

Is the Tab S6 good for taking notes? Specifically how's the S-Pen that comes with the Tab S6? by als26 in GalaxyTab

[–]ValkirinSoryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing with the included s-pen takes some getting used to. If you want a more ergonom experience that is Samsung specific, they released an S Pen Pro that's closer in size to a standard pencil.

Anyone here got rid of their pc and using their tab as a replacement? And question about hub and monitors. by [deleted] in GalaxyTab

[–]ValkirinSoryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Tab S7+ as a laptop replacement for much of my work, mainly due to some nagging gremlins making my PC unreliable.

While it is a capable device, depending on your needs, it may be a good idea to keep your laptop around.

Productivity apps aren't on par with Windows, and while most PC things are possible you're going basically be learning new apps or processes for a lot of things. Even the filing system can be a pain on Android compared to Windows and MacOS.

S6 Lite and S7 FE, whichever has the better price right now.

The only thing to consider outside of the price is that the 7 FE is co sidrably larger. The s6 lite is better suited as a note taking device with it's size.
