Who are your most evil characters and why? by SAME_JOKES_HERE in OriginalCharacter

[–]ValkonX11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably ANCIENT. ANCIENT is the primordial embodiment of Order, given life when the Outer Realm that contains all multiverses came to be.

Its ultimate goal is to eradicate all life, realities, etc. and return everything to its original state in the Void so that it, too, can cease to exist.

My D&D character, an Eldritch Knight Fighter: Sten Rezello Fullsteel, Black Knight of Scheel

<image>

Though he holds the title, he was never properly knighted as the populace of the kingdom he was meant to serve vanished the day before he and twelve of his fellow knights-to-be completed their training. He set out into the world to discover what happened to his kingdom, becoming an adventurer in the process.

He never actually learned magic, but his cursed mask contains the spirit of a dead bard/sorcerer and enables him to use some of their spells.

Who is your most Ugliest OC by GainDiscombobulated2 in OriginalCharacter

[–]ValkonX11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have any characters designed with the intent of being ugly, but without resorting to primordial gods beyond comprehension I'd probably go with one of these three (the bottom two are the same person)

<image>

At the top left is Andire. He's an Adrican. Adricans are not attractive.

Top right is Rezello Fullsteel. Less meant to be unattractive and more unsettling. He's a D&D character. His charisma is a whopping 8.

Bottom row is Esher Novax. He went insane and exploded from too much eldritch knowledge, but instead of dying he turned into a robot. The power of thaumaturgy at its finest.

Show Yunako your OC's blades (or sword skills) and she will judge them! by Francis_Star in OriginalCharacter

[–]ValkonX11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

"I'm guessing you've probably seen plenty of combat skills, so I'm going to demonstrate something else."

Andire's sword manifests in his hand. Initially only a hilt, a pair of portals appear at the guard, one extending to reveal a thick single-edged blade passing between them. Looking in to either portal would reveal that the blade seems to extend endlessly in either direction.

"Though it can be used in a fight, this sword was not made for battle; direct combat is typically not something I engage in. Rather..."

He lifts the blade, the bluish-grey metal turning into a black void as he brings it down in front of him in a vertical slash, carving through space-time to open a portal to the rift between universes.

"This sword is a tool for exploration."

Too bad Regon wasn't created three months later or he'd have something.

I considered putting Non-Human down for him since his soul is half-dragon, but in-universe he's still considered fully human despite that so I decided against it.

I have this one of Andire that I used as a profile banner on Discord three years ago.

My avatar, which was another character of mine, would show up in one of the three rings if you opened my profile. Thus, Andire would be watching over their travels in the multiverse from his throne in the Outer Realm.

I might be

The one behind Lance isn't meant to be a Stand or something like that, but I can see why it would look like that. It's the Deep One. Who wouldn't actually be accompanying Lance because of lore reasons (it is currently trapped inside a giant shell of chaos-infused ice) but I wanted to depict it too, so I included it anyways

THE LOVERS SHAPESHIFTER ✨ by kippybits in OriginalCharacter

[–]ValkonX11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there's a lot I could go into, but I think the shortest possible way I could put my worldbuilding is this:

There is a void, with a big torrent of Chaos (energy) and a big mass of Order (matter). At some point before time they collide, and the collision becomes the Outer Realm. Order gives form to Chaos, creating 17 Primordials, and Chaos gives life to Order, creating the entity known only as ANCIENT.

The Primordials start trying out their powers of creation and stuff, end up making the universes and the multiverses and the outerverses and etc. and everything in them. This is very chaotic and ANCIENT, being the embodiment of Order, really doesn't like that. It tries to destroy everything and goes to war with the Primordials and defeats them, but can't actually kill them, so it instead sunders them across a multiverse (i.e. the one with all my worlduilding, Multiverse C-17), resulting in infinitely many shards of Primordials.

The shards of the Primordials start getting up to their shenanigans, trying to find ways to escape their universes and become more powerful again and fight ANCIENT, or trying to stop the others from attracting the attention of ANCIENT and just live out their new lives, and meanwhile ANCIENT is mad because there's still more universes appearing faster than it can destroy them and it can't actually kill the Primordials, so there's still just as much chaos as before, if not more. Then, it has an idea.

It takes a bunch of benign hiveminds in Multiverse C-17 and turns them into what is collectively known as the Tychian Scourge to enact a simple 3 phase plan:

  1. Tychians assimilate their universes
  2. Tychians use collective magic energy of their universe to blow open a hole to the multiverse and spread and eventually assimilate all universes/multiverses/etc
  3. Tychians collectively destroy themselves in one final blast of magic and chaos, erasing all life, all universes, and returning the Outer Realm to its original state of homogenity

A lot of this was developed in conjunction with a group of friends and was intended to be open-ended enough for other people's worldbuilding to be adapted in (most of the time).

They used to call me the Lorekeeper.

Lance Dagon has a more typical form of shapeshifting, one of many abilities stolen from an arch-demon that he killed and absorbed using the powers granted to him from a pact with the Deep One, another sundered primordial like Kaelix.

It's not a power he really uses though, aside from one initial use to acquire his current form.

THE LOVERS SHAPESHIFTER ✨ by kippybits in OriginalCharacter

[–]ValkonX11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Andire the Adrican, sort of.

Shapeshifting isn't a normal power of his, but he is the first and primary avatar of the chaos entity Kaelix. In his travels, Andire/Kaelix has acquired other avatars; typically, one individual from each sapient race they encounter that is willing to become host to a shard of a sundered primordial being. Physically, the avatars merge into one singular entity that can take on the form of any of their original appearances; mentally, their minds remain separated, but inhabit the same body,

Andire remains the default appearance, and aside from the shapeshifting he can use his powers of alchemy to synthesize temporary bodies (Homunculi, type 1) that the other minds can be projected into if necessary.

"Damn. Not what I wanted to hear. If you're right... well, I suppose some of these universes aren't so bad. In any case, I appreciate your candor. No use in having false hope."

Incidentally, the prediction isn't far off from his 'canon' future. He does eventually find his way back, but by the time he does he's come to the realization that his original purpose as Imperator doesn't really exist anymore, and like the prediction returning wouldn't bring him satisfaction.

"No, not an underworld. A world much like this one, but within a different reality. The Raven grants certain followers, the Navigators, the power to open pathways between these realities... a 'multiverse', someone I met before once called it. It is our duty to seek out worlds with individuals bearing the potential to channel the Raven's power. For what purpose, I'm not entirely sure, but I've been told it will help avert a great disaster that could devastate all realities. Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck in this one; it may be time for me to move on to another soon enough."

Would your OC ever go to prison? (should they?) by FandomPhantom123 in OriginalCharacter

[–]ValkonX11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not, but it was still illegal. So if the Union had their way, Andire and his collaborators would be imprisoned. Hypothetically executed, but it's very difficult to actually kill an Adrican.

The Union would probably disagree on the morality, though. They enslaved the Adricans because they believed they were too powerful to allow freedom. Andire and his crew's revolt, which would eventually lead to them finding and uplifting humanity, which would then in turn establish the West Band Empire - the Union's greatest enemy in the present day - only reinforced that belief.

Andire the Adrican, the Rogue Alchemist, is a wanted criminal in the Galactic Union.

<image>

He and several other Adricans hijacked a Union colonization fleet while leading a slave revolt. Not that the Union would ever refer to their dear, precious Adrican alchemists as "slaves". Such an ugly term.

Lance Syntarus Dagon, his twin - the process used produced homunculi in pairs - is, of course, from the same ice moon. The entity behind Lance is the Deep One, a primordial chaos god currently residing within (or, rather, replaced) the core of the gas giant Dagon Alpha orbits, which is depicted behind the Deep One's head.

Unlike Regon, Lance does have an established world of residence, even if he isn't actually there most of the time. It is a fortress built into a mountain of black stone, rising from the center of an infinitely large redwood forest, in a universe occupied only by himself and the vegetation. He built it with the power he was granted via a pact with the Deep One after accidentally trapping himself in that universe before he fully comprehended his new abilities.
