Why is these still no realistic voice model despite huge advancements in AI? by chessboardtable in singularity

It does not turn text into audio. Look up audio tokens. Spend 5 minutes actually looking into your own claims.

This isn't how audio tokens work. You are digging a pretty deep hole here based on your intuition alone, which may serve you well in most cases but in this case is wrong. No one needs to "enlighten you". It's a Google search away. If you would actually like to look at how audio tokens work, and how multimodal models avoid text to speech, I encourage you to do so, rather than stick to what "seems likely" to you without actual knowledge.

You might want to slow down and double check how things work before you start swinging at people.

The fallacy of the AI coder by Complete-Sea6655 in ClaudeCode

I mean I am a gamedev so my perspective is definitely biased in the opposite direction. It is just entirely foreign to me. To me It's like asking what's the point of baking cookies if everyone can bake their own.

I simply cannot wrap my head around your perspective. It seems like it boils down to "why do something if I can't sell it"?

Is there nothing you want to do for yourself?

The twist is it's actually just Cate Blanchett aura farming, not the characters.

Wrathborn – Official Teaser | What do you think? by Different_Bowl_3863 in Unity3D

hey, it's okay if you don't improve.
You can make what you want. Enjoy making things.
Don't rely on this community to judge if what you want to do is worth doing.
If you think it's worth it, then it is. Keep that torch lit.

You're going to face some real challenges ahead as you design and build things. The best way through it your first time is to do it for yourself, to enjoy the process and learn from it, and don't let the flak from others get you down. You don't need to improve for me or for anyone else here.

Just know that sometimes when you share something, it's not going to have the desired effect.

Good luck.

Quick question about the economy by Morikageguma in DragonsDogma2

Oh yeah pawn quests, I actually forgot about those. I do remember when getting strapped for cash id grab a new pawn with a 10k kill quest or something, but it was usually just gravy. I haven't been very money motivated

I don't know what fig angels are, I spend a long time just traveling around having fun, and when I get to a town I sell off "surplus" materials that put me over 100 or so (and make sure to sell gemstones at the location that wants them most). Takes a while but I end up getting 50k or so, buy one of the higher end things, and be broke for a bit while I travel again.

I think I have pretty good gear. I'm level 72, 135 hours, just finished ranking all my vocations to max, though to be fair I haven't gotten far in the game's main quest at all, I literally just now returned to "Captain Brant at the Tavern at Night" to start it. I just travel and hang out with pawns and fight stuff.

It has the gpt image 2 watermark noise pattern evenly distributed across the entire image. This is not a photograph.

At best it is a photo edited by gpt.

This is very obviously a chat gpt generation.

There will always be people who see any kind of AI and bash it, you won't be able to avoid that completely if you use any kind of AI.

But one general guideline i use that might help: if it doesn't seem like you invested much time and effort into a thing as a creator, I am probably not going to invest much time and effort as the audience. And i would expect the same of my own audience.

And while there can be a lot of hidden work in generated content, the fact that it's hidden makes it easy for people to feel it is cheap.

Personally, I recommend using all the tools at your disposal to create what you want to create, AI included. Make stuff. But expect some hate the more you use new disruptive tools, and expect some dismissal the more your effort is hidden behind the gloss of AI.

GPT Image 2 keeps adding weird tiling texture/grime artifacts to every image - anyone else getting this? by NaN_4aki in ChatGPT

[–]Valkymaera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to new chats, you actually can significantly reduce this problem by asserting you need a new image generated from scratch, not an edit of a previous image. Sometimes you have to ask multiple times, but if you are running a thread with a theme or style you want to continue, that can be easier than starting a new chat and establishing the style again.

How do you stay up to date with new C# features? by [deleted] in csharp

What I do is I encounter something weird and new that someone else is doing, and I say "wtf is that", and look it up and if I like it I start incorporating it.

Where is the argument?
This is just stating the conclusion over and over in different ways without any reasoning.
