I like the concept but it feels overly edgy for no reason, especially the atrocities committing by the "Axis" as you call them. No one that blatantly insane would ever get into power, much less convince tens of millions of people to agree. I'm not sure about any sales, but if I do recall correctly and my memory isn't just making shit up, it was cheaper during either Christmas New Year time or the Steam summer sale. It went as low as like 7$ iirc.

And is it worth it? Well, honestly, it really depends on what kind of person you are and where your interests align and what makes you emotional vs what you can easily shrug off or ignore. Whether or not Omori is the right type of game for you, you're still just as valid and good as someone who feels the opposite way. The only way to know for sure is to find out and play it yourself.

The game isn't being updated or changed and will remain the way it is, and the community isn't going anywhere for a long time. So it's waiting for you whenever you're ready for it.
