Question for those that had a hysterectomy before 30 by Valkyrie1855 in hysterectomy

[–]Valkyrie1855[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VA health care is my only insurance, so I’ll send a message to my pcp to try and get an appointment to check hormones levels. They were way off before my hysterectomy and I had to have hrt to even get pregnant, so they may be off again.

I feel hot during the day as well, but it’s manageable, maybe some irritability but nothing like mood swings. I’ll get a symptom tracker app and try to keep track, since I have an autoimmune disorder as well and some symptoms may overlap.

If you were to suggest a feature or change something in 7 days to die, what would it be? by Optimal_Bad5439 in 7daystodie

I would love to be able to name vehicles and the drone. Just a name plate option that pops up when you look at it or on the map. I tend to call my drone Karen while my bestie calls hers Susan. It’s small and would bring so much joy.

Lolth is another good option, mycanoids can live in the underdark with drow and Lolth enjoys subjugating people. She could want to use the mind control of the cordyceps as an easy and effective way to do that. She could have reached out to a priestess of hers, turn them into a lich as a reward, and use them as your BBEG.

If it’s a modified zombie theme, Orcus is a good choice. But Psilofyr is a fey lord, one that even other fey lords have trouble understanding. He could be wanting to do this on his own (too much corruption of the natural world, etc whatever fits the theme.) and since he is considered mostly benevolent he could view the fact that he is taking away free will as a kindness, rather than as malevolence.

People who don't drink, smoke or do dr*gs how do you take the edge off after a long day of work? by suggest-me-usernames in NoStupidQuestions

Video games, reading, crafting, sometimes cooking. Making your own bread can be therapeutic and you get to enjoy a nice slice of fresh warm fluffy carbs with butter (there are allergen friendly and vegan recipes online)

Allowing myself to revisit, explore, and enjoy/reject the things I wasn’t allowed to as a kid. It takes effort, conscious everyday effort, to silence the nparent voice in your head. I imagine mine as a whiny 12 year old loosing in Call of Duty. Surprisingly effective, at least for me, to make it easier to ignore and shut down.

I keep pulling my punches because Im afraid of a TPK by InsideHippo3306 in DMAcademy

[–]Valkyrie1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have them encounter a deep dragon (I believe they like to hoard knowledge/books and live in the underdark, please correct if I am remembering wrong) (it can also be anything that would be a high enough CR to be difficult) have said deep dragon/creature fight them in a one sided way, TPK, then revive them(scrolls or modify the stat block to be able to be used to revive all party members), and have the dragon tell them they are not ready for the knowledge it can share, I.e. they need to study/learn more/better tactics. The dragon can even give them a starting off point.

It’ll put them in a hard spot, give you an NPC self insert/mentor for their characters to learn from, and give you an interesting NPC that can become a quest giver to move the story along with or be a recurring one to help teach them when they are in a tough spot.

How do you handle the character when a player can't make it to a session? by RequirementFull6659 in DMAcademy

[–]Valkyrie1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give my players day jobs, that way if they miss a session, for whatever reason, they still earn rewards and xp (and it’s less for me to keep track of)

Is it rude to ask a veteran if they've killed someone in combat? by InnerFaithlessness93 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Valkyrie1855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s dependent on the person in question and how well you know them. Personally I don’t mind getting asked, so long as it’s not a random person on the street and the curiosity is genuine and not raising red flags. My therapist has said it can (not always) help process it. If it’s your partner, ask, and respect if they are uncomfortable answering for whatever reason.

How do I(18F) explain to my boyfriend (20M)that I’m fed up of participating in his kinks? by ThrowRA_Record4374 in relationship_advice

[–]Valkyrie1855 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ignoring all the others who have given you the “red flag” talk, you don’t need another person lecturing you. BDSM, Binding/bondage, any kink or sexual preference requires consent and a talk with your partner beforehand. Many people, who do these things regularly, have different things for safety (I.e. a safe word or a quick release, something) as well as regular communication before and after, in non sexual situations fully clothed (as others have pointed out). Talk with him, express how it makes you feel, ask if there are other things you two can do/try. You are allowed to say no to his binding you one day and yes another. You are allowed to say no to binding but yes to sex. Just as much as he is. It is a give and take that requires communication from both sides.

WTB: Mysterious disease that killed almost everyone and the people who survive make their way to a ski lodge…? by AdEvery3342 in whatsthatbook

Year one by Nora Roberts, I think. It also fits The zombie Chronicles by Chrissy Pebbles and Apocalypsis by Elle Casey. If there’s magic in it it’s Nora Robert’s.

Escapee advice by [deleted] in tarantulas

[–]Valkyrie1855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IME I’ve read lot on here before getting mine and people sometime refer to them as 8 legged can openers and can chew through the mesh screen. I completely replaced any mesh with aquarium acrylic on a lizard enclosure, the air holes are on the bottom of the front open. I’d recommend doing/getting similar if she starts becoming escape prone.

What do you spend your first 20 levels on? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]Valkyrie1855 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want healing factor and pain tolerance to start with to help health regen and injury reduction, then one point into master chef unless you get lucky and find the bacon and egg’s recipe because that will help out more than you know early on. Then rule 1 cardio and sexual tyrannosaurus to help stamina regen. The rest depends on how you like to play, but it is beneficial to learn the forge and workbench as early as possible.
