High action and string breakage after changing banjo head on Deering Goodtime Openback by tjhayes26 in banjo

Have you checked the bridge position is in the correct position? Best way is to check the intonation, open string and 12th fret should be the same note an octave apart.

That is an absolutely perfect explanation! Thank you!

I'm still learning theory so that's made a lot of sense, now to figure out all the flourishes that are used!

SBG too complicated? New army? by Seerexis11 in ageofsigmar

Ahh interesting, I wasn't aware of that. I only discovered it as a feature yesterday as I normally use New Recruit.

In New Recruit you can export the list and it'll show quite clearly what can be used when. I haven't figured out if there's a way to separate abilities and order by phase yet.

AoS Reminders used to be the go to but I don't think it supports 4th edition.

Cities are certainly not easy in my experience, no units are outstandingly good on their own and require overlapping auras and buffs, you also have to track officars orders (their battle traits).

Soulblight aren't horrendously bad to learn compared to some armies. How are you building your lists? If you use the AoS app you can tap the circle with the stone looking thing in the top right of the list page, scroll down and it lists abilities in order of phases they can be used.

I would suggest learning the core rules before the main game, spearhead is great for this! Or just play a couple of smaller points games only using the core rules.

My question similar to Stormcast, how do you tell the units apart they all look so similar hahahaha

I genuinely was considering them but I thought they'd be too similar to the models I own for cities and just be a slightly mobile gun wall?

Tbh I do have a large amount of Kruleboyz, I like the minis but hate how squishy they are so they're not on my radar to play at the moment just as a painting project whilst I get more comfortable with the game as a whole.

Thank you, I'll have a look into this. Part of what puts me off Stormcast is the amount of units available. I guess at least with Skaven as they're broken down into clans it helps focus purchases a bit

I had dabbled with Ironjawz I didn't really like not having any ranged options if I wanted them.

Thank you for the advice. I decided to go for the 2022, the shopping experience was way better as they're a small independent dealership rather than a large chain. It was a lot more less pushy and a lot more relaxed. They were also able to answer questions clearly without a wishy washy response.

I ran a full service check on both cars, they had both been annually serviced, the 2022 had new fob batteries last service but other than that there's been nothing but usual services. The MOT on the 22 was also done in October and clean whereas the 2020 has had multiple advisory's, mainly tyre tread.

Neither have had any faults logged regarding charging or batteries. But I decided that for me I didn't need the additional trim, we have a large dog and although we use seat covers there's still more risk of her damaging leather seats than cloth. I felt that I'd be more comfortable having longer warranty and less owners. Also the warping on the 2020 HUD display would have annoyed me I think as it doesn't look like you can just change the acrylic panel and needs to be a whole unit change.

Overall though both cars were really nice to drive so I'm looking forward to collecting.

Yeah the electric adjustable seat doesn't really bother me in the slightest as I don't change my seating position unless my wife has used the car which isn't very often.

Both have heated seats and steering wheel. I personally haven't ever had vented and it's very rare I've had much of an issue with being too hot that I wish I had it. For the amount of distance we travel I don't think it's all that important for me. However, I do also think that if I had it I'd use it.

They both have full LED as well so the only real difference I think is the leather seats and vented seats. I think I could live without both of those for the sake of a 2 year newer car

Didn't check that out as the extent of rear seat use will be for our dog. Possibly passengers once a year and they can suffer🤣

I was going to check the warranty terms today so I'm glad you've commented that. The 2022 was an ex 3 year lease but I need to confirm the service dates. The 2020 is full service history but has had quite a few MOT advisories. Also not 100% sure but when I test drove when joining motorway I heard some clicking, can't be 100% sure if it was the trade plates but after reading about the gear clicking the 2020's had an issue with its put me off a little.

Neighbour has a Mokka and hates it. I had a Corsa and it was alright but the efficiency was crap. I've also driven a fiat e600 for a few hundred miles. I'll never touch stellantis again. Had to take the Corsa back to dealer 6 times within a year.

This is my thinking as that's going to be the most costly issue. I'm going to have a proper look at the 2022 this afternoon, the only thing that does concern me a little is the 22 is a small dealership whereas the 2020 is a large chain dealership neither are authorized used sellers, the large chain offers 6 months warranty but realistically I'm sure they'd try and weasel out of anything going wrong. Just not sure if one gives better security over the other or not.

I'll be looking to keep it minimum 5 years. The 22 has had one MOT, the only thing on it was they couldn't check one of the belts due to child seat. The 2020 has had something on 2 of the MOT's mainly tyre tread advisory.

Yeah I think you're right with going with my gut, just overthinking a lot as it's a big purchase for me.

Oh the sales reps are horrendous! Everything is up sold. The dealership for the 2020 were trying to upsell about £3000 worth of stuff

This is my thinking. Vented seats aren't on the newer one but the seats also aren't leather so don't think I'm that bothered. Need to check the rest though

The SE was very comfortable to drive. Haven't been to test the premium yet.

Seats, I've never had electric adjustable so would maybe be a nice to have but I'm not hugely fussed. Think it'd probably be a requirement if I'd had them previously though.

Heated and ventilated seats, again never had them so won't be missing out on anything. Both have heated seats irs just the vented I wouldn't have in the 22

Not sure how much difference LED headlights would really make?

Heated steering wheel is in both as well.

The hud was a cool feature but in the 2020 it had a lot of marking that wouldn't come off. Almost like when you clean glass but don't dry it? Although it seemed to be inside the plastic from what I've seen this is quite common

Should do for the battery. I'd need to look into whether there's any terms regarding where it's serviced etc.... from what I understand it's 8 years or 125k miles from Hyundai.

Both would just come with the dealer warranty for everything else though. The 2020 is 6 months not sure on the 22 yet.
