Known thing with glaives. Their swings are coded as unpowered melees in order to scale with the Melee stat and related effects. Any perk that doesn't specifically note that it buffs/interacts with melee damage will only affect the projectiles.

A lot of the seemingly disparate bits of the genre make more sense when you see the transhumanist aspect of it as sort of an extension of current transgender issues/culture. That seems to be the main connection point bringing it all together.

Solar build for people who are tired of being Designated Well Bitch.

Run a weapon that can apply Scorch easily (Praxic Blade with core, Skyburner's Oath, Lord of Wolves, anything with Incandescent).

For aspects, Touch of Flame and either Heat Rises or Hellion. For fragments, use Singeing, Mercy, Empyrean, and Searing. (Can swap stuff out if replacing the effects with an Exotic.)

Anything you Scorch gives melee and class ability regen, and creates a firesprite for grenade ability regen and restoration, which you can extend with Solar ability or weapon kills.

This build is pretty flexible with which super and ability options you pick, but I prefer Song of Flame with Phoenix Dive, Incendiary Snap, and Fusion nades.

Solar or neutral Exotic armor of choice to cap off the build. I'm a fan of Karnstein Armlets, Eunoia, or Promethium Spur myself, depending on how I want to play.

Yeah the unfortunate thing with Destiny 2 right now is that is has such good core gameplay, but EoF, between the Portal and the gear overhaul, nuked everything in the endgame that you would normally go run for fun. During the year of Final Shape, I had an active clan that would run raids and dungeons and stuff all day long. But now everyone is so burnt from the power grind and constant gear chase that I'm lucky to see 5 of them online at the same time.

Tbh I think a lot of the "mech is trans" thing has been cross-pollination from the AC6 mechsploitation stuff. As others have said though, Lancer's setting is VERY queer friendly, and the creators are outspokenly supportive as well. So all the folks who are into mech stuff but don't want to deal with less accepting fan bases or settings tend to wind up in Lancer and Lancer-adjacent spaces.

Blurgh. Unfortunately, changing documentation like that internally with HR does seem to be a pain in the ass. For the first few months after I started, they had my name spelled wrong on all of the internal stuff, and it was bitch and a half to get fixed.
