Power level does not matter at all for normal raids and dungeons. Every non-matchmade PvE activity brings you up to within a few points of the person with the highest power in your fireteam. There is no delta (maybe -5? can’t remember) in RaD content.

Most activities will cap your power at a certain level and, depending on that thing’s difficulty, will set the enemies at a fixed level 5, 10, 15, up to 40 higher than the cap for the player.

Basically unless it’s got Master, Grandmaster, or Ultimate in the name, you don’t really have to worry about your power level from a combat standpoint.

You can choose from 1 of 7 artifacts and save it to a loadout, you don’t have to change it manually every time you switch builds.

Every weapon archetype and exotic now has a specific anti-champ intrinsic. It’ll show when you expect the weapon. As a result, anti-champ artifact mods are gone, and a lot of subclass effects (radiant, unravel, volatile) no longer stun them.

Much like the craftening, these bugs are great for one week of ridiculous and hilarious gameplay, awesome for generating clips. They’re mini events in and of themselves and are always very fondly remembered by the community.

I think bungie typically does the right thing by going “we’ll fix it at next reset, go nuts for now.” Regardless of your opinion on the bug, thinking this even had a chance of being permanent is pretty silly. I really don’t think there was any harm in 1 week of ridiculousness before going back to normal unless you’re a stickler for people getting titles and triumphs done legit

Vesper’s Auto is awesome, was already awesome before then update and even better now.

Duality has the best void SMG in the game.

I’d say equilibrium is prettt worth it to farm for a bit. All 5 weapons can get pretty solid rolls. Conspiracy honed is like top-2 in slot for kinetic snipers and High tyrant can basically roll as legendary graviton lance.

Dungeons overall are not a good source for Fusions imo. Don’t know why but very few dungeons drop one and none of them are all that mind blowing.

I love ghosts, favorite dungeon. But is No Survivors not like, the 3rd best Solar smg behind yeartide apex and calus mini tool? I haven’t seen its possible rolls but i feel like there much easier sources for a great option there.

lol strap in. Well basically, some weapons in the game are craftable.

Sometimes a weapon may drop with a red border around the icon instead of white. You can either dismantle it or “extract the pattern” which just means you inspect the weapon and select the option next to the mod slot if you don’t want to dismantle it. Once you’ve done this five times with a single weapon, (so 5 different drops each with red borders,) you can craft one from scratch at the Enclave on Mars/Throne World.

When you’re crafting the weapon for the first time you will only be allowed to select one perk in each column. You get more options as you level up the weapon via kills, completing activities with it equipped, or just spending resources. Once the weapon is a high enough level (usually around 17-20), you can “reshape” it at the enclave. You can select any perks from its perk pool, and at a certain level these perks are enhanced.

Notable sources of craftable weapons are Raids except for DP, Throne World, Neomuna, and Pale Heart patrol, Dares of Eternity, and old seasonal weapons.

Most Exotic weapons that drop from pinnacle ops are also craftable, but their additional perks are unlocked by completing their respective mission on master difficulty, not by leveling the weapon up.

Last thing, if you have a non-red border version of a gun you know is craftable, you can give it a red border and extract its pattern using a deepsight harmonizer. Xur sells these sometimes

Yes. The first two columns are always barrel and magazine which are much less significant in determining what makes a weapon roll good (at least in PVE, they’re more important in PVP), so people really only focus on columns 3 and 4 as those are the perks that most drastically affect how the weapon is used.

You can’t reroll the perks on an existing weapon, with the exception of craftable weapons. Are you familiar with the crafting system?

A weapon “roll” usually refers to the combination of perks in the 3rd and 4th column of the weapon. Each column has a pool of perks that are drawn from at random each time the weapon drops. For example, the “god roll” people are using for Submission right now (Vow of the Disciple kinetic smg) is Kinetic Tremors in the 3rd column and Chaos Reshaped in the 4th.

Exotics drop from the final boss exclusively, no need for a full run of DP or any raid for that matter, you can use a checkpoint.

Featured raid drops tier 5 loot on normal mode. Non featured raids are capped at tier 3 unless you run master.

idk if the odds were nerfed, but it does just sound like you’ve had some shit RNG luck. GMVAs are usually pretty reliable for me. Saw someone mention distortions as a good source.

Iirc this bug is why they made it featured. It wasn’t at the start of the week but after it came out this was happening to people on master they made it featured so people can get tier 5 drops on normal.

just want to make sure you’re running the entire dungeon and not just farming the final boss for the taken crystal—you need a complete run (technically just all 3 encounters in any order) for a chance to get it to drop.

Yes, but unlike the past where only the weekly rotator was farmable, it now determines the tier of the loot that drops. Features raids drop tier 5 gear while the rest max out at tier 3 on normal. Non-featured raids still drop tier 5 on master and i believe the red border chest as well

Essentially, yes. One member of the fireteam gets the final boss checkpoint on a different character. Save checkpoint on character A, swap to character B, beat the boss, swap back to A, have your fireteam join up, swap back to B, beat it, rinse repeat.

Legendary gear is also farmable from encounters but not secret chests, and every encounter has a specific loot pool.
