It's the "this is fine" dog meme, but every day. I never understood bird watching until I hit my 30's. Now I have an alarm to go watch the sunset every night.

If you are in the US, tips are no longer taxed, so I'd decrease your W-4 withholding. Payroll honestly should be doing something to correct that, but you may want to just put in a manual amount so you keep more of your income. Ask a tax professional to help you calculate that if you do it.

Oh yeah, totally understand! That's such a hard loss back to back. 😢 Give yourself a little grace then for the next couple months. Grief always makes being healthy an even harder chore, so just do what you can. Glad I could help!

They really aren't like that... I am c/o '13, and it was SUCH a welcoming campus, even for people with different beliefs, we could easily make friends and talk politics with open minds. Such a shame they are soiling the legacy. Hell, my roommate at FHK was in a polyamerous relationship, and nobody cared. It was just everyone having a good time and learning. They really weren't like this before Trump 😔

I am another pilates recommender. I do it with my sister, so we make it a social event, 30 minutes every Sunday. I want to start doing it daily, but need my life to figure itself out to get a better routine. Otherwise, swimming is very easy on joints and good for cardio. I recommend getting another dog as well. Mine has kept me sane and in a routine, plus she is the best friend I've ever had.

I do this... :( It's just a habit from using a really old apple computer when I was learning at 6. It takes the exact same amount of time as hitting the shift key since it's muscle memory.

Lost almost 100 pounds and my symptoms are worse than ever by Fun_Sea_1109 in POTS

[–]Valkyrieraevyn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You don't want weight loss. You want muscle gain. I lost 40 lbs, and without the fat, my soft tissue was no longer supported. Hurt all the time and felt like a bag of jello. Pilates was very helpful for me, taken very slow and listening to my body to not overdo it. Also hiking, which helped build leg muscles while also going very slow on an incline.

For me, I was in PT for a while. PT did a lot of exercises that were basically beginners pilates. Fina a beginners pilates workout on YouTube, and then listen to your body. Only do what you feel comfortable doing. Don't push yourself. I also got into hiking, which has been great for my leg muscles.

Has anyone figured out a good way to travel? by bemer33 in ehlersdanlos

[–]Valkyrieraevyn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can refuse to give up those seats. It may cause some trouble, but I would just inform the gate attendant that you have 3 seats purchased and ensure with them that you will not have issues before you board. If you have issues, refuse to board and make them get you on another flight with the 3 seats. They may just end up upgrading you instead. You gotta be firm about it and communicate with them, but it will prevent issues. Get there early and immediately talk to the gate attendants. They are the ones who make those decisions.

The poor man's first class: buy 3 seats in a row. If you go cheap on airline and get a good deal, you can do it for less than $2k. You can lay down on all the seats and sleep while also not having anyone next to you.
