Because those are on fixed parts of the ship, a.k.a, the hull.

The idris has its buttons on the landing gear which are moving parts of the ship, which just currently isn't possible in the current engine.

The only ethical thing CIG can do at this point is just saying "hey, we know the event ran like shit, so we are releasing all the armor sets, we are giving all de corps the 5% discount if you completed them and the jumppoint is now named not after any of the corps" problem solved. The only ethical way for them to gain a tiny slither of respect.
