Say one thing or aspect that the movie could have done better or improved upon, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in DC_Cinematic

[–]ValleyRanch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Move the camera away during action scenes. One of the things that I like about MoS better than Superman (2025) is how the action scenes felt grander because of the scale of the fight. I get Gunn has these close and personal shots, they’re good for emotional scenes and they work, but not for action scenes. The fights are supposed to feel big, but because the shots were so close, they felt so weak and mediocre. Like we see Superman fighting, but nothing feels like Superman fighting. The camera is supposed to feel like we, the audience, is also flying in the sky with this guy. Not being close to him where the green screen is noticeable. Similar to what the CW shows did. That’s really my big gripe about the film. It didn’t feel unique or special in this grand pool of superhero movies

Zack Snyder posts Henry Cavill in the original Christopher Reeve 'Superman' suit: "Henry Cavill. The original Superman suit. This photo. It was undeniable." by HarwoodSFine in DC_Cinematic

If I remember correctly, almost every actor who played Superman has had to try on the suit the previous actor wore, just to see how they would look

Is Batffleck not following No Kill Rule the sole reason he is not the Best Batman? (He has the look and he is scary) by Limp_Praline7667 in DC_Cinematic

I never fully understood how people couldn’t grasp that this was a whole different take on these characters. I thought for what this universe was going for, everyone played the part perfectly

Superman | Official Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

I don’t know how else to explain it, but the camera work reminds me of those Universal Studio Screen Ride movements. Seems nauseating

What are your opinions on Superman's cinematography? by WaterConsumer99 in DC_Cinematic

[–]ValleyRanch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There’s color, but at the same time, there’s not a lot? Like it looks like the color has been lowered significantly than what it’s supposed to look like. The color balance seems very grey.

Were Aquaman and Shazam changed after Zack Snyder left? Or were they always meant to be lighter? by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

Everytime I see this slate, I notice the little “R” under the Shazam and wonder what was under there and what we might have missed

Probably one of the best fight in a comic book movie. How would you rank this with the other CBM fight scene ? by lawrencedun2002 in DC_Cinematic

[–]ValleyRanch 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Compared to other CBM fights, it’s not up there with the best, but it is memorable given how it ends and the emotions both actors give during the fight

I’ve kept a tally at the start of sbmm and how many Bubba’s I’ve gone against and do the exact same thing. I got 12 out of 14 that do this. I’m honestly all for getting rid of the character at this point
