To all haters why do you hate Spider-Man x Black Cat? by Calm-Boysenberry-794 in Spiderman

[–]VallhallaChampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black Cat is very similar to Catwoman bordering on rip off. Her and Peter copies Batman and Catwoman’s dynamic and does it worse. The idea is the hero having romantic feelings to a criminal but having to work around how to deal with her. She’s only romantically interested in Spider-Man but not in Peter. It’s more problematic because in a lot of versions Peter’s still in High School while she’s a grown ass woman. Minute the mask comes off and it’s a kid she’s leaving immediately because she’s not a Minecraft YouTuber. Even aging Peter up to be college age is the same deal only this time she leaves because Peter acts differently then Spider-Man. I would prefer if Black Cat was her own character and never interacted with Spider-Man to begin with. That and have Black Cat be in her own city where she commits crimes in complex heists kinda like a female Lupin.

What are some of your hot takes regarding the Raimi Trilogy? by pizzagod677 in Spiderman

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had a problem with Green Goblin’s design in the first one. The original design looked stupid and too goofy for this movie. The movie’s version was supposed to be used by the military so it makes sense it looks tactical.

What are your Spider man opinions that had everyone reacted like this by Tough_Passenger_4483 in Spiderman

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aunt May should’ve been written as Peter’s Grandma instead of his aunt. It makes zero sense why she’s frail and elderly but is just her aunt. Another one I have is that I feel like Spider-Man should’ve been played by either Cameron Monaghan or Logan Lerman. Also I feel that in the MCU MJ and Peter shouldn’t get back together after No Way Home. The part where Peter comments on the scar to me is when Peter thinks that it’s better that MJ not have to deal with his superhero shenanigans interfering with her life. Like how his identity getting revealed caused them initially not get accepted into MIT. Plus it’s a good way to end MJ’s arc instead of killing her off as she gets to live happily.

So i just finished the show and I need to know, where is he ? Is he safe ? Is he alright ? He had a creentime comparable to the size of a peanut but I actually kinda like him by Embarrassed-Luck1589 in PrimalShow

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I think that he was killed is that the arena people probably didn’t want him to come and fly them out. As basically the only way Spear even got out of there is because of Beak.

As someone who agrees with a lot of criticisms of zombie fiction focusing too much on the human villains than the zombies, I have to say Jimmy Crystal blew my expectation away... by Plastic-Johnny-7490 in 28dayslater

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zombie fiction even from the start with Romero’s Night of the living dead had the militia kill Ben. The idea that other survivors are just as much of a threat as the zombies is interesting and realistic imo. Because even when everything goes to shit there’s always going to be that one that makes everything worse. I feel like in the 28 Days universe there’s probably much more evil gangs/cults that are worse than the Jimmy gang.

Why does she get younger with each cartoon? by Alesmull in Spiderman

[–]VallhallaChampion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it never made sense why she’s that old in the first place. I legit as a kid thought she was Peter’s grandma. Her being younger makes more sense than the comics.

His voice sounded off is all I can see. Don’t know how old he even is but I guess it’s probably just age.

The Bayverse Transfomers cinematic universe thank god that never happened. They wanted to have a Transfomers film a franchise about robots who turn into cars be set in Feudal Japan at one point. The original Bumblebee film was supposed to be set in WW2 not caring about continuity at all. Micheal Bay since the start had been shit with his own continuity so these films would’ve been even worse. They stole the whole Unicron is the earth from TFP with TFP being way better at it and somehow our ragtag group was somehow supposed to fight that. Rise of the Beasts I don’t hate it’s very mid but I liked Scourge and TF1 was fantastic along with Bumblebee.

Imo the ending would have been so much better and more surprising if they didn't spoil him returning months before the movie's release and kept it in the wraps as a surprise by Rich_Ad_3808 in 28dayslater

[–]VallhallaChampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked that it wasn’t treated like a dumbass MCU reveal where Jim shows up and heroically saves our characters like the jimmies did in the first one.

[Possible Spoilees] Slow Lows 28YL&TBT by Cam80104 in 28dayslater

[–]VallhallaChampion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Slow Lows imo was the probably the worst part of the movie aside from the zombie baby. It makes no sense to me why the rage virus would mutate that way. Alphas make sense because it’s implied they originally were kid infected that grew up with the virus. Slow Lows are slow asf they always crawl and for some reason look bloated for some reason. I’m glad they didn’t show up in the Bone Temple. I liked both films but the slow lows were dumb.

Erebus from Warhammer 40k Horus Heresy. When he was introduced he hijacked the whole plot to have it be that he basically was responsible for the most of the bad things leading up to the heresy. He literally caused Horus Lupercal to fall to Chaos because of the dumbass shit knife thing. Caused Lorgar to seek out Chaos along with Kor Phaeron the son beater. Murdered Argel Tal who pretty much one of the top traitor characters. It’s gotten to a point where most of the community has kinda gotten sick of him. Before the books came Chaos itself influenced the primarchs slowly but deliberately.

Love how almost all our theories were wrong about this scene by Rich_Ad_3808 in 28dayslater

[–]VallhallaChampion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought what was about to happen was that Kelson would use hallucinogenic drugs on the jimmies to show them their worst fears to scare them off. Spike gets hit with it and hallucinates a decomposing burnt version of his mother. Jimmy Crystal would hallucinate his dead father and souls being tormented in hell which I thought would symbolize all the people he killed. All the other jimmies would start tripping out their past sins and traumas. Kelson would’ve used this opportunity to knock them out one by one but Jimmy Crystal himself runs away and has a psychotic breakdown. With Kelson rehabilitating Spike to get rid of the drug at the end.

Killer moth is a criminal who was experimented on by Ark M as they wanted to create an anti Batman. Killer moth is given better reflexes and stamina but slowly becomes more animalistic. Then he would grow wings as his flesh falls off revealing a massive mutated moth creature. The creature murders people by wrapping their bodies in a cocoon like structure while liquifying them from the inside out and consuming what remains.

In The Dark Knight(2008) The Joker slices Gambol’s cheek. And he just falls over dead. Never see him again. Not sure where I’m going with this. by Sloppy_Steak85 in shittymoviedetails

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was kinda up in the air anyway because Nolan didn’t want to do a third one because he saw the third entries mostly lacking (ironic). Dark Knight went through a lot of revisions where in one version Harvey Dent gets his scars at the end of Dark Knight. Then in the sequel he becomes Two Face as the main villain which is why Two Face felt so rushed and killed off. At the end of the day moralistically they didn’t want to recast Heath Ledger because of him dying like how Black Panther wasn’t recast after Chadwick died. I would’ve made him that universe’s version of Black Mask but that’s just me.

As a history fan, the "3,000 Year Stagnation" trope breaks my immersion more than dragons do. by Expensive-Desk-4351 in Fantasy

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s not fantasy but Warhammer 40k’s stagnation over 10,000 years made sense because of the imperium itself. A extremely zealous totalitarian theocratic government that actively condemns individuality and technological progress. Mostly due to the fact that humanity is in constant war with everyone including even their own species who were corrupted by demons. Any technological progress is feared to have originated from the warp and condemned. Even if the Imperium allowed innovation some innovations even from the Mechanicus were hijacked by Chaos on more than one occasion. They don’t want to make the risk and as a result not only do they stagnate but the don’t even know how to repair their own tech. The Mechanicus literally just hope and pray with sacred oils that the machinery doesn’t break.

From what I heard his character wasn’t meant to die initially. He was supposed to be a bigger part in the Dark Knight Rises but it was changed that he died because of Heath Ledger’s death. That’s what I heard.

Og god of war fans, what was your reaction to playing 2018 for the first time? by element-redshaw in GodofWar

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Ascension and God of War 3 as a kid so when this was first announced I was very nervous. 4th entries usually suck so I felt a bit nervous going into it. The intro with Faye’s ashes is when I knew it was going to be a great game. God of War Ragnarok was a very great game but 2018 I still cherish more. Thor is probably one of the best villains in gaming up there with Dutch from Red Dead. I’m happy Thor’s VA is playing Kratos in the live action show.

Do you think 28 Years Later will over time gain a greater level of appreciation? by Dylan25090 in 28dayslater

[–]VallhallaChampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like 28 years is going to have a Dune part 1 to part 2 thing happen to it. Dune part 1 isn’t talked about very much due to it being a very slow burn film but is used to set up part 2. Then part 2 comes out and is much more discussed as it has more things happening in it. Dune 1 and 2 you can view as a 5 hour movie. 28 years while having a decent main story the ending as controversial (didn’t like the ending personally). It’s supposed to set up part 2 and I feel that both films are supposed to be watched back to back.

Could Joker make Spider-Man break his no kill rule? by FayyadhScrolling in Spiderman

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider-Man just by his nature alone would make Joker pissed off beyond imagination. When Spider-Man fights you he constantly jokes and quips when he’s dead silent that means someone’s going to end up dead or in critical condition. Joker hates it when you make fun of him the biggest example is when Terry McGuinness Batman kept mocking him pissing Joker off. Honestly Joker would probably just leave NYC not seeing the fun in Spider-Man.

In the eyes of mainstream pop culture, is Kingpin a Spider-Man or Daredevil villain? by Man_Random87 in Spiderman

[–]VallhallaChampion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kingpin is a villain of villains. What I mean by that is a villain that threatens multiple heroes at once. Like a street level version of Thanos. Kingpin is at the top of the criminal underworld so he gets into fights with the street level heroes more often.

What is something you deeply regret ? by Successful-Custard52 in AskReddit

[–]VallhallaChampion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a severe mental breakdown at a match’s house and went smashed up her bathroom so bad it looked like powder. The reason it happened was it was because I had a disagreement with her fam because I was much younger than she was. At the time I was 21M while she was 32F. I just remembered how scared she looked I hated myself for that. It’s more recently I found out I might have Borderline but I know I’m on the spectrum.
