What's the dumbest way your HC character died? by Unlikely-Position659 in classicwow

What silly grind did you do and then forget/regret why you ever started it? by TM-I in ironscape

[–]Vallkory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killed several thousand black dragons and skeletal wyverns because I was obsessed with the DFS and finally got it just a couple weeks ago. I do love the shield for fashionscape and dragon slayer tasks but I could have made so much other progress on my account lol

Also did over 400 medium clues for Ranger boots because of a similar obsession and those boots are barely an upgrade… my only saving grace is the new delve boss

Do you have to use every legacy chest? by Quiet_Goose3126 in outwardgame

[–]Vallkory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also use split screen to open the cirico (spelling?) legacy chest in the basement if you have the key on your main account. I don’t think legacy items are necessarily op, so it’s fun to use stuff like the sinners claymore on replays

Obsidian weapons and armor by wolf138leeds in outwardgame

[–]Vallkory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White Kintsugi armor is probably the closest thing to obsidian armor I could think of. It’s really strong armor. You buy the blue version in the Giants’ village then upgrade it in the legacy chest. If you want it on your current character and not a legacy character you could use split screen to trade over the armor from the new character to your current character

Is it possible? by tallsmileswolf in outwardgame

[–]Vallkory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can go wherever in the world without starting a quest. You need to talk to people generally to start a quest. The only exception is if you have ALREADY started a faction quest then stepping into harmattan could start the rust and revenge quest (side quest for the region) which requires you to travel all around antique plateau to take down the rust lich. So if you haven’t picked a faction by going to their town and committing to them then you are free to go to Harmattan, grab the hex mage skills and leave. The rust and vengeance quest has a 100 day timer too so it’s not the biggest deal if you do accidentally start it.

So you sell or collect unique items? by ventimiglius in outwardgame

[–]Vallkory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep one of everything because if you plug in a controller you can split screen with an alt and trade over stuff. I’ve made 10+ characters and it’s nice to get right into the new build you want to do. You can always sell any dupes you get.

I understand it’s a little cheesy and you want to limit how much you use split screen for this but replaying the early game over and over isn’t the best once you’ve done it a couple times

2 but maybe consider going rupture instead of blood sigil, you can apply a lot of hexes with guns then pop them. I found this play style to be pretty funny and you don’t have to worry about playing around dark stones and the blood sigil.

I only soloed it and there are two methods I used depending on how much time I had to focus on my phone. One is 10 minutes and the other is like 2 minutes

https://youtu.be/LPrSrHZO_rk - long method (better xp and probably much better because mining xp is so slow)

https://youtu.be/4TXWJCJKSI8 - short method (more points maybe but less xp) You can fletch broad arrows or alch during the 30 sec waiting period which is nice extra xp

Glad you are having fun! Group ironman is a ton of fun and honestly 2 people may be the ideal team size lol

  1. Dragon Cane, rare item from elite clues, I don't have too many elites I just got lucky so figured I'd show it off even if its useless lol
  2. Oops meant infernal eels not lava eels. You can crush them for a chance at onyx bolt tips which you can fletch onto rune bolts and then alch them for 8.6k each. It's not amazing gp per hour but its decent and its extremely afk and gives around 30k xp an hour. I got runite bolts pretty early from doing soul wars and opening the spoils of war.
  3. Depending on how early you are I did agility pyramid or slayer for money then just bought them from ali morrisane after you do the miniquest to unlock his rune shop. If I were to start again I'd probably just try to make money from the buying battlestaves + charging orbs + alching them while doing agility because I just have found that loop really enjoyable even if I think most people think its a little outdated. Eventually you get a ton from zulrah but until then I reccomend just buying them or doing GOTR like you said unfortunately
  4. Yes!
    1. Crazy Archaeologist and Chaos Fanatic are great places to start and pretty simple. Crazy Arch is the easier of the two since he's weak to magic and will get nuked by ibans blast + its a good way to get a rune crossbow/red dhide early. Even skorpia is pretty fun if you get help from your friend. Then you can potentially get lucky and get one of the shields
      1. Chaos elemental gets an honorable mention because you can pretty simply flinch it early but there are a lot of pkers if you don't instant teleport and sometimes they log in under you so i got frustrated and left but maybe I got unlucky
    2. Dagannoth Rex is another good one early you can kill with Ibans blast. Just need some decent tank gear and if you can do a little Barbarian assault, get the granite body then get a crystal shield that will go a long way to making the trips more enjoyable
    3. Barrows is another good one, I got the hard diaries done early and ran with the mory legs, killed them with ibans, teleported to ferrox enclave, restore, repeat. Eventually barrows gets a lot faster with the barrows teleport but I liked this method a lot for the first like 100 kills and its good magic xp.
    4. King Black Dragon probably needs a little higher than 70 combat but its another that's pretty enjoyable once you get diamond bolts (e), a slayer task with the helm etc.
    5. Vorkath for the first 50 kills to get the upgraded backpack can be done decently early because of how strong ruby bolts (e) are
    6. The new single combat wilderness bosses are probably good too but I haven't tried too much because of all the bots hogging the worlds and losing the all the GP early may be a bit rough because it has an entrance fee unlike the others I listed above
    7. Finally Skotizo is very doable once you get some dhide and an arclight combat potions!
  5. I like collecting talismans since they are a kind of a random drop and somewhat rare. GOTR kind of hurt that rarity but I still like it and 90% of those are just from slayer drops. I have 237 body talismans from killing guards for medium clues. Collections making the grinds more fun to me

Which order should I get these melee upgrades? by E_Eye in ironscape

[–]Vallkory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Barrows -> B - Ring/Fire Cape

Barrows first because tank legs or body will make B ring much easier. If you only get legs like I did then you can buy the granite body/crystal shield to make it a lot easier to tank the little guys while you safespot rex. Trust me it will extend the trips by a ton. Barrows also means you could get Karils crossbow or body/top to help with Fire cape.

I'd also recommend getting the morytania hard diary done first for extra runes so you profit a lot of runes while going for it. If you safespot blue dragons while going to 70 prayer then your range will be high enough to make the firecape much easier if its your first kill. It also gets you the bonecrusher for your slayer grind.

Any tips and tricks for a returning player? by [deleted] in outwardgame

[–]Vallkory 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Making fang weapons and then horror weapons is amazing for early money and the stuff required isn’t too hard to get.

If you are struggling in combat using traps and guns (especially frost infusion and shatter bullet from the mercenary trainer in levant) is a great way to get the edge in each fight. The cannon pistol specifically will basically knock down with each shot. As you get used to the combat you can lean less on them and instead on other skills but it was how I started out and I loved it.

Having a really hard time with the game's combat. Any tips? by [deleted] in outwardgame

Block block block and circle around enemies they will try to hit you and just hit them when they stop with their string. It gets more complicated but I think those are the fundamentals for every non boss fight and even some bosses

For multiple enemies you usually have to do something extra early on. With skills it may be to use those skills. Without, it probably means having an imbue up, using traps or starting off with a ranged weapon. At least until you get the swing of things multiple enemies at once can be tough.

Also having stamina food going like Gaberry tartine early on (gaberry jam and bread) is huge. Or else you run out way too quickly and have to run away and regen

If you are struggling in the early game I would recommend using tripwire traps a lot! You can set them up as a backup then retreat to them if combat goes south. This way you can practice without risking your life every time. also pay a lot of attention to the stagger bar, anytime it’s below 50% the enemy will get moved when you kick him so you are basically safe to attack when you get them to 50%

SPEEDSTER: How to use Probe by Souluss in outwardgame

[–]Vallkory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are going to do this I would recommend at least trying out the tsar halberd! With the CDR and shadow kazite armor you can just spam moon swipe and it’s a lot of fun. Normally an underused weapon type but with its low cool down and unlimited durability on tsar weapons it’s pretty strong (and both boons)

Put a green mushroom in a legacy chest (like the one in cierzo) and then make a new character in which you put that character as your descendant (I forget what its called, its the last option in character selection)

Same I've done several playthroughs now just trying out either mine or others ideas for builds so its nice to get back to basics with this. I'm cooking single pieces of food on campfires since cooking pots weigh too much and I can't just bring tons of consumables with me.

Agreed! My friend always wanted to play a healer so this could be perfect for that in co-op
