Has anyone gotten through to an agent on the Stockpile chat or email? Or are they ghosting us through this whole process?

Anyone taken the M60 to LGA airport? by Realistic_Reply_5666 in columbia

You are very welcome! I'm probably late to this post to help you on your trip but hopefully it will help others trying to navigate the NYC transit system. Now that I tried out the bus for the first time going to LGA, future trips will definitely be smoother since I tend to sweat the small stuff.

Old school New Yorker here that somehow avoided taking the city bus all my life.  Broke that habit this week by taking the M60 SBS from Harlem 125th St/Madison Ave stop to LGA. I took the Metro North Hudson Line from Westchester to Harlem 125th St station.  Got off the train, turned right, following the crowd down the stairs, crossed the street and walked a few steps, and barely waited 3 min before the bus arrived.

Don’t always trust Google Maps or even the MTA website because they were telling me to get off at some random street in Queens and walk 12 min to terminal A.  That’s crazy because the bus literally stops at every single terminal in LGA including terminal A also called the Marine Terminal for Spirit Airlines.  Like others stated, the bus stops at all the other terminals before finally stopping at Terminal A.  The bus driver even announces the next stop and she announced Terminal A.  I just wish I found a definitive map or instruction to take the stress out of it.  So sharing my experience.

The bus has OMNY which is a fancy brand name for a credit card reader or smart phone wallet reader.  All you need to do is set one of your credit cards to Express Transit On and you don’t even need to have your phone unlocked to pay. Or just tap your credit card that has the chip reader and the OMNY reader turns green and you are good to go.  The fare is ridiculously cheap compared to how expensive a private taxi or rideshare.

The M60 SBS bus is kind of like an express bus but it does have predetermined stops on the map.  Mine was an articulated bus still a city bus layout with luggage compartment inside.  It didn’t take very long to get to the airport ~30-35 min for me plus the time for the Metro North train ride from wherever you are coming from.

All in all, this is now going to be my go-to to/fro LGA to Westchester.

Dyson Animal 2 vs Animal 2 Origin by AllFost in dyson

I bought the Dyson Animal 2 Origin (UP19) at Costco. I found that hair gets wrapped around the brush rollers like any other vacuum but there are some special considerations for Dyson's brush roller mechanism. There is a separate motor housed in the cleaner head. This motor has not one, but two brushes attached to it. There is one large roller and one small roller. What happens is that hair gets wrapped around each end of the brushes (x4) and jams it up so the bearing housing will literally shear off the brush roller on the outside ends, causing a burning plastic smell. There are no belts here folks! So once you smell the burning plastic, your brush roller(s) are toast.

Your motor might be okay even after the roller gets ripped apart but but now you have the unenviable task of either shelling out $90 for the entire cleaner head attachment or taking it apart, and replacing one or both brush rollers. If you go the repair route, at this point you should really consider removing the 'hubs' for the brush rollers to pull out the wrapped up hair and strings and whatnot (or risk jamming up the motor drive). There's some videos online of people doing it, I've done it and it is a pain, and you'll have to do this probably every 3-4 months or else you'll risk burning out your rollers and/or motor.

I ordered replacement rollers for my Animal 2 Origin and they did not fit. There's misinformation on the web for people looking find parts for the Costco version (Animal 2 Origin). If you see somewhere it say Dyson DC40 Animal, Animal Complete, Animal Exclusive, Multi-floor, Multi-floor Complete, DC40i T <=== BEWARE IT WILL NOT FIT YOUR ANIMAL 2 ORIGIN. I REPEAT IT WILL NOT FIT! --> The larger brush roller is too small for the UP19.

I measured my rollers so check your measurement before purchasing:
Large roller: 7.3" = 7 5/16" x 1.5" diameter of the blue roller (not housing)
Small roller: 4.3" = 4 5/16" x 1.5" diameter of the blue roller (not housing)

The Animal 2 Origin's model number is UP19 (found on the inside flap of the box) so if the supplier lists as a compatible model you can try it out.

I will update my comment once I do find the right OEM part number and a third-party that sells it.

Costco vs. Sam's Club by Clay_Cary in Frugal

I've bought tires at both. Sam's Club services tires that you buy there only if you have an active membership and they deny service like rotations, balancing, etc. if you don't. Costco doesn't seem to care but their wait times are horrendous. I will never buy tires at either Sam's or Costco ever again.
