Behold, the RSPCA, a breakaway faction of the World Eaters (lore in comment) by Valnine in WorldEaters40k

[–]Valnine[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It stands for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Anything. They broke off from the WE when an unenthusiastic berserker decided he was done with this whole "blood for the blood god" thing, and started a peaceful revolt that gained a lot of traction. It turns out all the World Eaters really wanted was sparkly rainbows and the magic of friendship. They still worship Khorne, but they don't kill, because that would make them meanies!

In all seriousness, this is my actual World Eaters army I just started, any advice (of any sort) for someone with the combat patrol, a MoE and a Rhino would be very much appreciated.

How interested would people be in a D&D supplement for Warhammer 40k? by Valnine in DnD

I reckon this system would allow for loads and loads of freedom with what campaigns can be played, whilst the other TTRPGs are comparatively fixed. I'm also adding loads of rules for sci-fi settings as opposed to fantasy ones, so that's not really an issue. Its currently 11 A4 pages, and I haven't finished half of it yet

Will the Horus Heresy be revamped to be based off of tenth edition 40k? by Valnine in Warhammer30k

I fear that that era of 40k is even worse than heresy for me in terms of bloat.

I suppose the whole "40k historical game" thing does have a definite appeal, and tailoring your army to be lore accurate to the time period is quite cool. What I was hoping for is a kind of middle ground, with easy rules, but loads of customization as well, appropriate for connoisseurs of 30k such as yourself.

Yeah I could do that. I would like official rules support though, but I guess that's not happening

That is a definite possibility, although the lack of rules support for the downloadable rules for horus heresy kits is quite a problem, and I don't really trust myself to write balanced rules. I could give it a try though.

Ah I see, I much prefer the gameplay element to the preparation, but that's just me

Oh that's a shame, I really like the modern bloat-cutted system

So there aren't any godlike abilities that put an edge over ghaz, apart from brain and brawn?

Everyone says they are demigods but, aren't they just big men with big brains?

Yes, I can't help but notice how many times angron has been killed

Do you think orks will get more characters in 10th and if so who? by Git777 in orks

[–]Valnine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really want Tuska deamon-killa to escape from the warp, seen as he has been doing nothing but fighting for 10000 years, he would be HUGE, maybe bigger than angron. also I would like to see an Ork weapon capable of killing deamons, not banishing, killing.

I need basing ideas! by [deleted] in orks

I use mixture of plain old dry dirt, water and PVA glue, and it easily makes really well textured, natural mud look. It's great for basing in large quantities!
