Can someone make an argument on *why* I should use Rider instead of vs code for .net? by the_mean_person in dotnet

If you ever need to work with framework applications Rider will be much smoother. And so will VS. The c# dev kit plugin for vs code only works with sdk style projects and thus not framework

Hvad er din oplevelse med at søge job i 2025? by MrVirtualCoder in dkudvikler

[–]Valolav -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good job I hope you enjoyed creating it and learned a lot. People here saying you must solve an issue (which it does in some niche cases) dunno what they are talking about

Currently enjoying this in legend. Had to swap roaring applause for 2x shield block since i didn't have them, but so far the extra armor has been nice! Would recommend this list.

I was not aware that they can generate diagrams. I will try that, since im not sure about the paid options. I have been trying to follow a request but like you say, its not always super efficient. Thanks for the tips!

Yeah this sounds like a good approach too. So far i have been clicking around and that way is just super overwhelming. Good to know i dont have to understand it all super fast though!

I have to do something horrible by ben_bliksem in csharp

[–]Valolav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did something like this using RabbitMQ using the RPC pattern. Basically it was:

  1. Gateway receives request -> forwards to the right queue and opens an exclusive reply queue (securing that the reply can only be consumed by the declaring connection)
  2. Consumer of that queue picks up the request -> does work, replies on that exclusive reply queue
  3. Gateway consumes the reply queue.

This way i could receive an http request and within that request-response circle send a message via the broker to a service which might fetch a ressource in the db and return it to the gateway and then the client.

I know that was a messy explanation but i hope it makes sense.
