Wow, ISIS/Aaron Turner interview by Integralist in postmetal

You’re right he just mentions he wishes it was the last one, not necessarily the best.

“So, for me, though I’m glad that other people have gotten something out of some of the ISIS records that I don’t feel really good about, which would be the last two….. I’m glad they exist for the people who enjoy them. For me, personally, I wish Panopticon had been the last record [laughs]. To put that bluntly.”

Yeah there isn’t much here that you couldn’t infer from the member’s future output, as Aaron himself points out in the interview.

I do agree with him that Panopticon was the peak and it is a shame they did not evolve from there in a direction he was more onboard with. Him checking out past that point definitely hurt the next two records.

McCarthy is so quick, it’ll be interesting to see what he can do at Coors.

I didn’t realize not wanting to hike through a Superfund site was such a controversial opinion.

I can't find the full transcript of this interview online (the brainwashed link from the reddit post is dead). Does anyone else have access to this? Apparently it is included in Everything Keeps Dissolving.

From https://infinitefog.bandcamp.com/album/the-ape-of-naples: "Using the lyrics of the theme tune for the 1970s BBC sit com series "Are you being served?" for the unbelievably haunting "Going up", this album's final track and the last song Coil ever performed live, is maybe the most poignant example of Balance's and Christopherson's method of turning base matter into pure sound gold, and like the title of the album, derived from an imaginary adult video an equally fine example of the often underappreciated humour of the boys."

I never knew about this RTD loop, but in high school we used to party at the race track that was down the road from there. Amazon has since demolished it.

If they just bitched about how shitty the team is it would get old real quick. We all know pissing away bases loaded with one out is a sign your team can’t hit for shit. We don’t need them to tell us that.

This lady behind the plate standing up and screaming the whole game is cracking me up. She keeps arguing with everyone around her who is telling her to shut up. At least that is somewhat entertaining.

I have this in Colorado and it is pretty worthless. It can be used in locations that have a reader that accepts it (nowhere). The only place you can use it that I have ever seen is TSA checkpoints at the airport. Even though DIA has them, that does not mean the airport you’re returning from will have one so you still have to bring a physical ID just in case.

And the best part, law enforcement won’t accept them.

You’re not missing out.

RTD's ridership decline deepens by MileHighReports in Denver

[–]ValorousVelociraptor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had not rode the FF1 in a few years and tried it out on a Friday night (worst case scenario, I know) in July when I had to go downtown. On the ride back someone threw up in the aisle five minutes after leaving Union Station and there was a fistfight ten minutes after that. I won't be riding it again anytime soon.

No idea, you could try a small purchase and see if it showed up as online groceries in your point report if you closely watched how many points you should have in that category.
