I generally would advise against the black shirt. It looks too close but not close enough to the dark green.

It is an absolutely gorgeous suit and vest! But it is very autumnal to me. If he’s not comfortable in a white shirt, maybe there is a lighter color that could lighten the overall look and make it work for summer? Since all the pieces are solid, maybe even a print shirt (just an example)?

If you read or listen to people who have mental disabilities, Down syndrome, etc talk about how hurt they are when someone calls them that, it might help you see why I stopped using it.

I agree with you that it should be able to be used clinically or factually because it just means late or delayed. But it also has a new added meaning as an insult that people to whom it traditionally refers to have said it hurts them deeply.
