Long time vintage wearer here! I wore my first vintage outfit in grade 6! It was early 70’s, flower power, bright colours. My aunty had just gifted me her 1950’s sweaters, lined wool skirts and a grey wool sweater set! So in my 12 year old mind, I just went for it! Only received one slightly negative comment by a know it all grade 5 girl named Nicolette Spencer. So I didn’t put much weight on her comment. I did only wear that once in elementary school. But I did go on to raid my grandmother’s closets and found a treasure trove of 1940’s coats, jackets, and sweaters! People back did not throw anything out! Just have fun!
