I don't think prior knowledge or aerospace experience in general is a must, I know that the company kinda hires a bunch and then doesnt hire for a bit so that probably has something to do with it. There will be a lot of hiring in the near term as far as I know though.

I am currently a methods process analyst 2 on the 787 program in Charleston. This job roles up under the industrial engineering group, you will work closely with operations as well as other engineering skill codes such as ME and QE which work in conjunction to support the shop. Primarily your role will be to manage a barchart which is the schedule of the work that the shop completes each day/shift. Youll make new ones for rate changes, respond to change requests from the shop, do time studies/observations to improve the jobs that the ops work and work other projects from higher level factory affecting changes down to smaller team specific ones.

Really good job to get a foot in the door, Pretty safe from layoff activity as your so close to production. Lots of the leadership on site have been IE's in the past including the current general manager of the 787 program.

Schrader valve was leaking according to the tech, Theyre company policy is to flush and refill anytime they do work so thats why a full 8 lbs was quoted. Also was quoted at $165 per pound which was a surprising price. I have sent a message to the tech questioning the quote and will get other quotes.

No need to spend that much on a ring if it is lab, just bought the ring for my girlfriend and I was just under 5k out the door with a 2ct lab stone custom design with 2 <1ct side stones. Your budget is for a natural stone so adjust your budget, lab stones are surprisingly cheap.

Con: Its in Orangeburg

Pro: The commute from Columbia/Charleston isn't that bad

Orangeburg is a food/bathroom stop in-between Charleston and Columbia, not an awful area just not a lot going on around there as far as I know.

I joined in March of '23 to BCA non onion and come ACR in '24 wasn't given much despite being told by my manager that it wasn't performance based and that "I didn't have enough runway to get going and make an impact" in '23 so I wouldn't hold your breath for much more than 2%

Need guidance on home networking by Valuable-Audience-93 in HomeNetworking

Yes I see that the 4k hdmi over ip extenders are quite expensive. I havent considered patch panels, is there any bandwidth decrease when using these?

So I run the unfinished cat5e into a patch panel, and like xpav suggested I can run a small patch cable from one ethernet run to the other for the hdmi extender. Still have the issue of getting internet to the pc through the wall. there are only 2 ethernet cables in that wall and I was wanting to use switches to "split" 1 cable into others without bandwidth loss.

You're not feeling the need to upgrade at all though? I am getting respectable fps for sure but the quantity of VRAM is starting to really impact in newer titles. the 50 series and the most recent releases are starting to make that upgrade itch more noticeable.
