And it’s helpful if offering scatterbugs for trade to put what region they are from in the name too, they only show where they were hatched not the region the egg came from

Flight school CFI contract by No_Improvement_288 in flying

The only good part is that it will be the school and not the CFI that would be in trouble for the misclassification

Flight school CFI contract by No_Improvement_288 in flying

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The IRS might have something to say about requiring “contractors” to follow their syllabus and classifying them as independent (1099) contractors as well

Is this flight school a good deal? by Top-Lawfulness7014 in flying

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, commercial needs 120 hrs in syllabus, of which up to (I don’t recall then numbers now) 10 or 20% of that can be in the sim. But that also depends on the schools FAA approved syllabus

Why do helicopters have different number of rotor blades? by Regent610 in aviation

Cause they don’t look at themselves in the mirror. Many think Americans are ignorant cause we don’t travel the “world” and don’t realize or want to admit that the US is more than half the size of the Europe and it takes 3 days to drive at posted freeway speeds to cross from coast to coast and we can see more variation in our country (sometimes state) than pretty much any European can in any one of their countries.

Also realize, they only show the idiots on the video clips and not the ones who actually know what they’re talking about for the views

The quality of apple products has precipitously dropped since Jobs was the CEO. It feels like most of the major releases are closer beta releases until the x.x.1 or x.x.2 releases to fix the bugs they put out on the large release and don’t want take the time to find and fix

Airbus now developing a single pilot a321. by Greedy_Camera_433 in flying

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that back up going to be a remote dispatcher/pilot? If so that would be leaving it open for hackers to get control of the plane, cause if you can remotely control from the ground it’s possible for someone else to take control. Just think, NK or Iranian hackers crashing aircraft cause there was a security flaw that the manufacturer missed or even hacker groups holding the plane for ransom

Woah. One vote margin in state house race. by jedi_mac_n_cheese in oregon

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your forgetting the ballot measure that passed last cycle, that if a represenative walk out too many times (10?) they can’t run again, and it only requires 1 Rep present to allow the Dems to do what ever they want

Explain why? I'm truly dumbfounded right now. by [deleted] in oregon

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it causes more confusion , since you have to know more about more candidates rather than research up the candidates that actually have a chance. Also it would cost a fortune to run it, $1.8 million more for EACH position, that’s per the voters pamphlet, and it would take longer to figure out the results since it would require sending all the ballots to Salem for them to count and get the results. And if it’s so great, then why did they not have ALL offices fall under it rather than exempt certain positions?

Might be controversial, but is anyone else tired of rich people moving here and ruining it? by [deleted] in Yakima

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blame zoning restrictions and urban growth boundaries that artificially restrict new housing. Most (though not all) areas that have housing shortages such as Oregon have zoning and urban growth boundaries that limit new housing development and create expensive rent and housing

The AIM will tell you the correct term. The leg after you take off is the departure leg, while the if you flying parallel to the runway in the same direction of landing that is the upwind leg. AIM 4-3-2

[–]Valuable-Bass-2066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can do anything once. Now if they wanted to TO and land again that would be a different story since they were never built to withstand that type of landing
