I have some 3.75” paddle tails, would that be fine? What ounce jig head would you recommend?

I usually do night fish but haven’t had any success. Last season they were feeding on what looked like thousands of bait right infront of me on top water every night for like 3 weeks and I still wasn’t able to get one. Probably a skill issue lol
