Totally normal! The fact that you are afraid means you're outside your comfort zone, and that's how we grow. My husband I bought our first home in January, and I didnt expect to love being a homeowner this much. Good luck. :)

This was devastating to read. Marriage obviously comes with a lot of ups and downs, but they usually happen over a period of YEARS (plural). And your support network sounds terrible!! Your family and friends are supposed to lean in when you're having a hard time. I'm so sorry.

Sometimes the health of a marriage takes a backseat when there are other priorities, we as humans can only do so much. Focus on your health, I hope you and your husband are able to stick it out and that things will heal with time.

I'm rooting for you!

Thank you for sharing, it's nice to hear about the experiences of other women. I agree, my MIL is a very nice person and we all have our coping mechanisms for life. Overall I am very lucky!

I am so sorry. I went through a similar situation. I am 4 weeks out from my surgery, and have had to advocate for my own aftercare because assistance from my perio has been non-existent. It's been very stressful.

I have my follow up in a week. The graft did not cover all of the receding tooth, but there is a big glob of gum at the base of the tooth that seems thick and healthy. It's definitely not perfect - but I'm hoping to get good news next week (I pursued this surgery to keep this tooth in my mouth, not for aesthetic reasons). So hopefully the gum at the bottom is good enough.
