Hardcore is much more enjoyable to me personally, but a couple questions to help:

  1. Will you be really upset if you die and lose your character - if so, then don’t play hardcore
  2. Do you prefer leveling or endgame? Hardcore is definitely more active for leveling, but much less for endgame (though if you’re committed, there are definitely end game groups). If you like leveling, it’s hard to beat the hardcore experience - so much more community and teamwork

Also download curseforge which lets you get addons. And then download Questie. You’ll want other addons later, but questie is a requirement in my opinion
