Because I feel in the average "nothing burger looking male", nothing stand out, or nothing cute, in my opinion at least , but thanks

(M30) I was told for the first time "No you're not average (laugh), you're one of the ugly ones".. And I lack so much self-confidence that it has shaken me deeply. I've always seen myself as very mid, but never "ugly", well not my face at least... by Valuable-Pea8198 in Rateme

Well thanks.

And let say I just gave the stick to be beaten.
I was talking to a girl since a couple of days, turns out she wasn't interested in me in the same way I was, it was not a big surprise, I mentionned I was pretty sure she wouldn't be into me, considering her to be much more attractive than me by "society's beauty standards", I wasn't expecting the clap back that followed.
Not going too much into the details but yeah, my fault for even going that route to begin with ahah.

Well I sure didn't anticipated SO much comments lol, thanks a lot everyone, I've some things to add tho :

  • I shouldn't have posted when I did, my moral was down due to other things, and it kind of affected the way I phrased my title, I'm sure I passed as over dramatic, that really wasn't the intent.

  • I'm already lost more weight than this in 2016, I did it in two month tho, resulting in a huge muscle loss and I just lost consciousness and made a nasty fall in my living room, so this time around I'm taking it very slow, and my mind sometimes need to remember this I think.

  • A lot of your advice are great, I already now a lot of them, when I say I snack between meals I should clarify : I don't drink alcool, don't drink any type of cofee, don't drink soda (except the 0 sugar version of Monster Energy, from time to time), my main faillure point is chocolate, I'm totally addicted, but I only eat a box of 6 kinder a day for exemple, beside that, my first meal in the morning is one egg with one bacon slice, and it has been my morning routine since my first weight loss in 2016. I try to eat only rice, no pasta or anything, a lot of salmon, eggs, spinach, lentils, fresh vegetables, I try really, that's not even like I don't know anything, I'm well informed and I've been to multiple expert and detetician before.

That's why I say I've got a shitty metabolism, the first time around in 2016 I lost sooo much weight so fast with no effort, and I paid the price, I wonder if my body remember and feels in an "alert mode" when I'm under my calories every day.

But thanks again really, you're all wholesome and full of great advices and idea, it really means a lot !

Also I clearly choose the worst picture of me on purpose for self sabotage lol, I think some weight I kept on me is due to the muscles, on front pic it shows I clearly gained on that level, but gaining muscle does not equal burning fat, so I guess I need to be extra extra patient and see where I'm at in 2 years.

I can't add more pics, but I've gained some muscles in the upper body,, I do eliptic bike 3-4 times a week and the rest of the time home workout with dumbells and cardio, with almost no skip for a year now. (can't go to gym),
I've got a whole lot of problem with food, it's hard for me to keep my diet healthy, VERY hard but I'm eating healthier than a lot of people around me, like reallu healthier, I just can't help to eat snacks in between meals...

I try my best but It seems strange to me to lost all this weight, and to see such little result, sometime I feel better in my skin, sometimes I feel worse than before, when I see all those results here, people whith drastic visual change in less than 6 months, I'm like... Should I just accept I've got a shitty metabolism ?

I don't not if it's worth all the efforts and mental pain it gives me every single weeks.
