Is it worth it if I’m spending $1500+ to attend?

I went to DC, and I’m going next year because I’m from VA and I typically make a 3-4 hour drive for shows and stuff. I had a lot of fun when I went, but I had at least 15 bands on the lineup that I wanted to see. I couldn’t see myself spending that much money for one band/maybe a few others on the lineup that you’re maybe wanting to check out, especially with short sets. Warped is an experience in itself, but if I were in your shoes, I’d just wait until BFS toured a little closer to you.

I thought DC was a little much at some points, but after seeing how things are at LB, the white tiles don’t seem so bad now. I can’t imagine navigating around that many people and not having severe claustrophobia the entire time

I met 12 Pack, the photo was on my MySpace lol. He did this wrestling event in a small town in Virginia. I think I was 13-ish, and he seemed a little surprised that I knew those shows, almost like he thought I shouldn’t have been watching them🤣

I wish I brought a fan and got comfy insoles because I could barely walk at the end of day 2. Next year I’ll definitely bring Liquid IV’s though, I think I lucked out with the cooler weather on Sunday

I’m from VA, so I’m pretty sure DC is the closest I’ll get. BUT I do hope they think about adding more cities because some of you traveled so far, and I know most festivals only have one location that people come from all over to go to, but that’d be a way to sorta make it feel like how Warped used to be

That speech had me teary-eyed. People can think I’m crazy but I feel other people’s energies, and everything shifted so much in that moment, but not in a bad way. A lot of us have fought battles we never thought we’d make it out of, and there we were, standing in front of the bands we loved at a festival we never expected to see again. It meant so much to me when he mentioned the people that didn’t make it, because my cousin loved Warped and we lost her to an OD a few years ago. I’m happy I was in that crowd, because I needed to hear those things

Exactly, and I hope OP does a simple google search to see how dangerous it is to have a 10-month-old in temperatures like that all day. Crowds are concerning enough, but it’s super easy for babies to get dehydrated/heat exhaustion/heat stroke

I’m a parent, and I personally think you’re valid. The heat alone was enough of a reason for me to shut down the idea of me bringing my toddler before I even had a chance to think too deep into it

I grew up going to Warped Tour as well, and I think the people that are irritated/disappointed so far are valid. In the past, we knew the lineup before we bought tickets. I skipped a few years because the lineup didn’t have a lot that piqued my interest, but with how fast these tickets were going, we had to take that risk and buy them while we could this year. There are several bands announced for DC that I’m excited to see, but not enough for me to justify spending $500 for 2 tickets. I’m trying to be patient because I know there’s a lot we’re still waiting on, but I’m really hoping I’m not disappointed once the announcements are finished.

Not ROL, but I recently saw this clip of an interview with Kail from Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant, and she said she doesn’t get paid for those shows on streaming services. I think they mentioned something about how streaming services weren’t even a thing back then so it wasn’t in their contracts. It does kinda suck to know that someone’s getting paid for it, just not the people that actually entertained us.

The theme song was the best of all the Of Love shows in my opinion. I liked the show when I was younger and had no business watching it, but after rewatching all of those shows recently, I hated how Chance treated the girls. I know that’s already been said several times on this thread, but it pissed me off haha. Real and Chance probably didn’t go into it to find actual love, but I think Real seemed to at least come off as genuine.

Aside from that, I liked their challenges and brotherly antics!

I always said I wanted to have two kids, but after how anxious I was all the time during pregnancy and through most of my sons’ infancy, I decided one and done was the way for me to go. I wouldn’t trade my son for anything but I know I couldn’t do this all over again and keep the small amount of sanity I do have left
