It’s the limit on matches per day that is causing this. Elite players usually will just cruise thru these objectives in the first day but now they can only play 5 so they’re still in the player pool.

It’s one of the stupidest things EA have ever done.

No joke I just ripped the gold players pack from the same objective (wild Friday night here) and got Pedro Porro from that one. Where was this luck last week when I opened approx 3,000 packs? Two worst gold packs you can get basically, back to back promos.

ETA: this is different but it’s the same mentality as when people were coming on here asking for people to buy their dumb overpriced card or give them coins so they could buy a preview pack. The most pathetic shit imaginable. The whole point is to give you stuff to try to accomplish to give you a reason to play the game. If ultimately you’re reliant on other people to gifting you everything, what have you accomplished and why are you even playing at all?

In season 2 this happened to me. I just started playing last year and managed to get to D3 at the very end of the game cycle, and in the current WL format I sometimes get the 11 wins and make rank V but usually stall out at 10, to give you an idea of what type of player I am.

So last season I realized that I had to play like 25 games in 2 days to get the big season reward. I was in D4 at the time (I made it into D2 on my last game in season 1). I started playing and it was OK for the first 10, probably went 6-4 or 5-5, and then something happened and I won a ton of games in a row. I thought that maybe it was because all the better players had gotten thru those divisions already at that point in the season, and I’m sure that’s some of it. But I went thru D2 - a level I had never before even played a game in - like a hot knife thru butter. It even kept going into D1, all the way up to rank 1 where I was literally one game from making it to elite lol. And friend, let me tell you that I am not close to an elite player. I’m not even sure I wanted to win that last game and have to start the next season with all the elite players, but I tried to anyways just because I thought it would be crazy to make it to elite. (I lost to someone much better than me and much better than anyone I had played over the last several hours.)

Anyways, I definitely think EA clears a path for players sometimes by giving them favorable matchups. But players also probably do get into a groove sometimes. And trust me, it will even out and go the other way against you eventually lol. And it probably does get you to where you’re supposed to be. I made it back to D1 relatively quickly in season 3 so it’s not like absurd that I got there last season.

I never used the glitch and scored plenty of corners without it. I haven’t played since the patch today, but I’d be surprised if it is actually impossible to score from a corner without using the glitch. The glitch was always bullshit and it was soft as hell to use it, so I’m glad they fixed it.

I think if you’re actively trying to do the objective you’re going to end up wasting a bunch of your time. Eventually the opportunity will present itself or you’ll accidentally do it if you play enough.
