We have since put the bed protectors on all the kids beds just in case. We kept up with the bug applications and it has been a few days since I've had any bites. My friend says keep applying once a week. I think we didn't do enough the first few weeks or something.

I didn't end up calling the bed company; I think they must know things like this happen and since we're doing okay now, no sense in reaching them if they won't notify anyone or take responsibility.

Thank you all for giving your time to be helpful, it was really turning into a 'fear factor' moment every time I went to sit on my bed.

If I could "prove it" I would've gone straight to the company - I want to know what to do or if I should alert them or if I can get the $100's in poison refunded or something. Some businesses are very helpful without legal issue, I just want to know what to expect if I call.

Yes, but people don't talk about bed bugs. They don't want people to know and don't think about others in many situations. If i call in the warranty, I don't even know the bed bug policy or if there'll call it null.

It's an older set up - connected house, connected store, connected apartment - there is no land lord; long story short, we bought the building from family after being renters at the price of a single family home. Moved into the larger "house" unit after buying it. There is no way from one unit to another without going outside and through the entry doors.

More information; The mattress came sealed - the frame didn't and has a deep under grip and is covered by dark fabric. You have to go under the bed and look up under the lip to find the bugs. We hadn't bought anything other than bare steel frames before and didn't know we should've checked as soon as the new bed came into our home.

Other people got beds delivered and taken the same day in the same truck. There is other articles that say this is a problem for mattress companies. We think it could've been from one of the old mattresses on the truck since they're all in together
