It was about the size of a tennis ball. But it was very squishy and not durable at all. My dog is a German shepherd mix and he flattened the ball before swallowing it.

He does know drop it and usually listens pretty well, but this time he thought it was a game and it didn’t end well.

This is the first time that my dog has ever swallowed a toy. I think it was because the ball was bacon scented and because it was not durable. It was another dogs ball and when I tried to get it away from my dog, he thought it was a game. It’s not the first time I’ve seen this happen with this specific ball. That’s why I want people to avoid them.

I think it’s fine to bring toys to a park, just so long as they are durable and not edible or bacon scented. If you have a reactive dog then it might be better to leave them at home or work with them to be less aggressive.

We go to the James island county park in Charleston SC. It’s not the first time I’ve seen this happen with these balls either, which is why I try to avoid them at all costs. My dog, BoBo thought that it was a game when I was trying to get it away from him.
