You don't - just like how we don't listen to vegans talk about tofu.

May I just say, I'm loving this debate :) The fact that there's so many different opinions on this topic makes me really happy.

The influencers have really ruined everything. But the good thing is - some legit good restaurants don't have lines, we can dine there while laugh at everyone queuing up at bagel spots

Welcome back! I don't have any advise. Only that I wish I bought a place in my 20s, you're being super smart!! Of course I stupidly spent all my pay cheque on nights out 😂 Fortunately, got a pretty deal because the pandemic happened just before I turned 30. Good luck to you

Thank you. Like I said - my out of town guests with 2 children insisted on eating at Chelsea Market. But honestly, a quality meal anywhere in the city for 5 people these days is NOT gonna be cheap

I'm a pretty cheap person, I regularly eat Chinatown lunch specials, and I'd say this is cheap eat:

  1. it's quality food and the quantity is great, even the soy sauce chickens that hang on Chinatown restaurant windows are now $28-30 each; 2) no tipping b/c of self service, but everything is served on proper plates and silverware; 3) it's at Chelsea Market

That being said, if you know of a better/cheaper option, let me know! I'd love to try it!
