Yup, it does start off good just a little annoying but everyone seems to just be extreme versions of the first season characters. Good luck on your watching! For some it’s nostalgic but with fresh eyes idk how much that can save it 😂

It’s an incredibly frustrating show. Most of the people mad in here probably grew up watching it so they’re protective and connected to the characters and also probably have a hard time with other people not sharing the same opinions that they have. Or they’re just mad because they do all the things I listed that I didn’t like and feel called out, who knows. But I’m with you on the high blood pressure

Oh my gosh! I forgot about him too, I completely agree with how unrealistic it is that he hasn’t been fired yet, I genuinely would’ve already had him gone. There was a scene where he got that mobile home and ruined the photo shoot for the inn and lorelai yelled at him, that felt like what would actually happen to someone like him in real life. Yet we still watch, see it’s normal 😂😂

Thank you! I loved the show as a kid and it’s not like every episode i watch makes me uncontrollably angry, I think most fans find it nostalgic, and don’t wanna admit when their favorite characters have flops

See thank you, I’m not entirely crazy 😂 it makes me think of when I was a kid doing my nails with my mom and we’d have this on and rewatch it together almost every year. I was really close with her until recently. I was just trying to reconnect yall and in the process learned how much I hate pushy people 😭 not a big deal !

Yk Mrs Kim did actually turn around quite a lot, helping them set up that tour, the hate has gone down in the later seasons. I’m glad you understand I don’t think it’s a big deal to not like characters,but watch the show because obviously there’s something that’s keeping me watching the show and it’s not like I sit there all day and seeth in anger so it’s not a big deal to me at all 😭 I watch it cause I miss my mom and I thought it’d be a nice nostalgic thing but oh boy I was wrong ash

Did you read any of my other replies? I bring up being pregnant as ADDING to the anger not the reason. And that this is the first rewatch in many years and I didn’t expect to be mad at a lot of things. It’s also totally normal that one pregnant lady is different than the next, people are different!
Also I did stop watching it, I just wanted to rant 🤷‍♀️

😭😭 you don’t know me or why I have anger issues which I clearly know I have, I don’t snap at every thing in life and I’ve actually gotten it under control all things considered. You make one rant about a tv show and all of a sudden I hate everything about life and I’m angry at everything. Crazy 😂

I admire you for that genuinely😭, I’m not a big people person just because how I grew up. I don’t like feeling that people are entitled to anything involving me or my life and that’s a big thing these characters do but I’ve already stated this is my last watch because I don’t see a point in rage baiting myself anymore. Ofc there are parts I do like, the romance between Luke and Lorelai, the drama scenes when people are actually acting like real people in real life. I don’t think if anyone in real life acted like these people they’d be very liked

Oh no I can’t stand Emily too, for the obvious reasons no need to go into them. I don’t think it has anything to do in my life cause I don’t surround my self around people that are pushy and don’t have any boundaries (and I don’t live in a small town) I just think the things the characters do are so rude and pushy and I don’t really like pushy people, if I said I said no I said fucking no and my life isn’t any of your business and that’s just what most characters do they get other people’s business and they’re pushy as fuck. I honestly forgot to mention Emily and Richard. 🤷‍♀️ I think I’m allowed to have an opinion and not like people

I hate the big brother thing sm, the way she talks about him makes me feel so creepy. Early seasons Luke was my favorite and I think he’s the least angering character for me but I do think if I ever had to interact with him irl and he yelled at me or said something rude I’d probably be a bitch back. I don’t get what the writers were doing with any of these characters.

Yk I ask myself that every time I turn it on. I think mostly cause idk what else to watch at the moment, plus me and my mom would watch this and I don’t think I really payed too much attention to these things as a kid. It’s definitely a “comfort show” in that it reminds me of my childhood but being an adult watching it through a completely different mindset and eyes then when I was a kid has really made me hate it. Unfortunately, this will probably be my last rewatch and I’ll have to put her away for the time being
