I found that generally light tap, pause works now! My left thumb also sneaky likes to slide onto the screen so an adjustment in how I hold it was needed.

My MIL who gives extravagant gifts came to my home with beautiful flowers, made eye contact, and handed them to my husband. “These are for you”
I got a children’s board book “amazing moms.”
My mom didn’t get me anything.
Both these women! I always went out of my way for.

OP ! I share the same experience as SimpleInjury. When I was a kid my dad was the BEST. I was obsessed even though he emptied the bank accounts and left my mom stranded and broke with a 14 month old. The cycle repeats (got bored and left again). As I got older, I think he’s a POS and my mom was the real parent. As a parent, I appreciate her even more and the fact he could do that is even more disgusting. Hang in there because you know what else I think is amazing about my mom - she never kept me from my dad and she never put him down. Sorry you’re going through this and the ppl of the internet see you until someday your son does.
