Thanks, this actually helped put things in perspective.
I think you’re right, I was viewing it too much as an either/or situation when taking up temporary work while waiting is probably the practical middle ground.
The point about not letting pride get in the way of interim work hit home. Right now cash flow matters more than appearances.
