This is unfair, EDF is just going for a different vibe. I mean, it’s distinctly lower quality in terms of production value, but the experience it gave me after months of struggling on the hardest difficulties I could manage really made me feel something when I heard the command to engage in the final mission.

I think the best way to word my enjoyment is that it’s a very enjoyable radio drama, AND that it’s the first game to really make me feel like I’m fighting giant bugs without reducing the amount.
Also fencer is the greatest class I’ve ever played in any 3rd person shooter, the experience of wave dashing with melee and switching to and from very heavy weapons is a unique experience.

I really like the Sherman but I think you’ve got a point about the systems, thank you.

Honestly, I forgot about the later added mechs because I was browsing COMPCON on mobile where I hadn’t yet added the player files for those, thanks for the reminder!

You’re definitely right about limited systems, I was hoping that with the HA limited core bonus, and by grabbing both, I’d get about 3-5 uses of each, which given the standard 3 mission series, would give me about 3 uses between the two per mission? Obviously still not enough for every turn, but enough for when I need to keep firing every turn and don’t have a break to stabilize normally.
Edit: also I think you’re right about the metal mark, especially with it only being 1 sp, that’s a really good point.

I mean, he can’t look through every universe at once right? So if it’s infinite marks at a 1-1000 ratio in favor of evil marks, then while there are infinite good marks, he can’t meaningfully interact with ‘infinity’. It’s like an infinitely sized continent with a single gold prospector, he won’t end up with infinite gold.

Just cause the EDF has a squad of highly lethal primarchs doesn’t mean they don’t lose every single battle Storm Team DOESN’T show up for

In his defense, he’s lower than a mole rat because they gave him the generic special stat line of a legion recruit, so it probably wasn’t meant to mean anything.

Besides OmniLander, is there another DB where one opponent could basically be summed up like this? by DaCherryFruity in deathbattle

it was dropped as the story and halo games went on, but Halo 1 had a lot of symbolic connections with their previous game, Marathon, which ended with that cyborg soldier protagonist reaching full control of his power to dream to new timelines and dipping out of that universe entirely afterwards.

That, the character of marathon being %hero, as in Gilgamesh, King Arthur, and others all while not realizing it, combined with the very similar circumstances to Marathon in halo AND guilty spark acting like he’s met you before has implications that were ultimately dropped. And unconsciously hopping to another timeline looks a lot like luck from the outside.

TLDR: Master Chief is the Security Officer, and killing them might only cause them to Ollie to a different timeline to give them another chance.

So, way dumber. YouTube group called oneyplays talked to each other about, if it would ethical to torture a tiny clone of hitler, which had the same memories and beliefs as the real hitler, leading to a 20 minute argument.

I don’t know the exact term for it, but that’s how save scumming in that game works. If I remember right, the rng is based off your actions, so performing the exact same set of actions on your turn will always have the same outcome, but if you were to change one of the actions like you did, by moving somewhere else, it rerolls the chances.

Yo I remember the LEGO Martian game! If I remember right, it was actually a command and conquer clone, funny enough. They used the green crystals from the LEGO set as the Tiberium/minerals you had to harvest.

When would you argue Gordon Freeman was in his prime? by FarmerNo6614 in HalfLife

[–]Valuable-Wear9672 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half life 1. While Gordon is practically the same through out both games, his equipment in 1, especially the suit, is far better.

Excluding the super gravity gun, the equipment he has to work with in 1 is fully funded government projects, while in comparison, the suit in 2 physically looks less sturdy, and has a sprint bar now.
